Hello. Though a member of this awesome forum since some years ago, this is my first time posting.

2020 Ranger FX4 Supercrew, original owner sharing today's rupture of the passanger side leaf spring. 65k miles, rarely offroaded, never fully loaded nor towed with.

Roads, even highways, leave much to desire in Puerto Rico. An automotive technician friend told me that it looks like a casting defect that eventually snapped.

Looking forward to replace with OME leaf springs.

OME springs were a huge improvement over stock, you won't miss those. Bummer they broke though.

Rumor I heard was that Ford has either changed to an all steel leaf spring or to a composite material leaf spring? not sure which
