ouch! I know someone will likely say you must have been jacking it wrong ( lets not get into that lol ) . However, I would not expect it break. I would try warranty for sure and see what happens.
My situation is different but worth mentioning. few months ago i had a decent spin out of control and went into up and over the median with a pretty stout curb. then into some sign poles. truck was not hurt too bad mainly bumper damage from the poles and lots of scrapes. but the accident did bend and shift my leaf springs and hardware nearly a full inch on the rears. the side that got the curb first was over a half inch out of the norm. my point in that story is that even though i bent up the rear leafs and hardware none of it broke. The trucks full weight plus all the inertia from the speed i was traveling etc hitting solid concrete off angle is more force than simply using a jack to lift the truck or any average driving damage you could have done.
If you look closely at the spring you will see it is rusted a positive sign it has been that way for awhile. So no he did not do that by way of a jack.

Considering the small sample of owners represented by this forum and the frequency of this very specific issue I think we've identified another issue common to the 5G that needs to be addressed... and Ford should be fixing it at no cost to owners.

More than a few of us moved off the monoleafs for other reasons already.
They will not even own up to the transmission issues they have and they well know there is a issue with them.

What’s up with so many people having leaf spring issues with the rangers?! I literally drove my truck off an embankment last month and it was 3 feet in the air. Everything else was FUBAR’d but the leafs were fine lol just manufacturer defect or what?

Manufacturing defect.

That said the single leaf sucks and any other leaf pack is better.

OME is a little cheaper

Stay away from that garbage. If you want to change the leafs and don't want to lift, I would recommend the basic Deavers.
@Frenchy
Just curious... I was just on the Deaver's website and searched for "Ranger"... only two types listed for 1984 thru 2011 Rangers... no 5G products... Is there a special phrasing one needs to use??

Only LevelUp Suspensions shows a "Deaver" Pre-Runner ( "Deaver OEM Pre-Runner Leaf Pack [19+ Ranger]" ) set of springs, but not on Deaver site.

Any insights?? Thanks.

I’m going back and forth on whether to upgrade to those. Can’t bring myself to spend the money at the moment. Probably should just do it though.

Another option is Tremor take off leafs. No more monoleaf.

I don't think this has ever been documented to have happened on them.

I paid I think it was $300 for Tremor take off springs and all the associated hardware.

If you're near NY, HERE'S a set that a member is offering for FREE.

I am very surprised that they weren't snatched up within seconds after posting.

HERE is my leaf spring swap thread if you decide to change leafs.

Mine was with Tremor leafs but the steps will apply for any leaf spring swap.

Did the Tremor springs raise the bumper height any?? (Thinking they might).
