Broken Hose in Engine - Help

Not my Ranger but Daughter's future husbands that I fixed.

I do not know how long the hose was broken, I just hit my spare hose box and fixed it.

I did confirm its 3/8 HP Fuel Injection Hose, its stiff to keep the contour.

With my miles, I better do this mod...where can I get this type of hose and other types of hose you might suggest? Thanks!

Got some 3/8in fuel line from Autozone. Took about 20min. I disconnected the battery, didn't want skynet deciding if I got to keep my fingers or not.

The old leftover carnage, it fell apart in my fingers as I tried to pull it off.

It was about 6 inches. Auto zone sold it by the foot and it was the end of the roll so I have about 2 extra feet of hose now.

Mine looks and feels solid , weird white and yellow dot pattern on hose though...

It was just standard 3/8" fuel line. Feels sturdier than the old stuff. $3.29/ft

With the factory hose being formed, I'm curious what kind of lateral pressure is being exerted on that assembly by using non formed hose? I've never seen that part dissected, so no clue, just curious.

Now don't you start with this 'logic' non-sense! Some intern probably bought 4,000 ft of hose instead of inches and they had to use it for something.
