I got my Ranger lifted and leveled. Fron 3.5" withthe BDS kit. I'm pretty sure my lights are hi. I do get flashed. I am going to figure out how to adjust the lights someday. Maybe this?:

Headlights can definitely impede someone's vision.

Few years back not long after I got my ST, I raccccc..... ummmm, I mean... um, compared automotive acceleration abilities with two attractive young ladies. Hey, THEY started it. And on that sunny summer day the ol' ST performed admirably. And ironically after the acceleration comparison ended and the other car pulled up next to me, I got a nice smile and wave from the driver and... the young lady in the passenger seat got on her knees and flashed me her headlights! Not sure if they were halogen or LED's but man oh man they were nice headlights. And yea, they did blind me a bit. For a few seconds there I can honestly say that the only thing on this entire planet that I could see was her headlights. ? ??? ? At my age I think maybe time stood still for a minute or two. If someone would have stopped in front of me I'd have rear ended them and never hit my brakes. So yes headlights can be totally disorienting. Beautifully, wonderfully, gloriously so.

Told my wife that story that evening and while she was laughing her head off she said "You should have taken her picture!" To which I replied something to the effect of "by the time I got my phone unlocked, opened the camera, pointed the camera, fumbled with the settings (think boomer with cell phone) the show would have been over."

One additional note... and keep in mind I had a bit of "hell all that working out is paying off!" and "hey maybe I've still got it!" attitude going on because these ladies were probably early 20's and I was early 50's... anyway, after my wife calms down from her intense laughter, she looks at me and says something about how those girls are entertaining all of their friends talking about how they flashed an old man and he was so mesmerized that he almost had a heart attack.

Yep. Leave it to your wife to keep your ego in check. ?

Well, that's my headlight story.
Sadly all I ever seem to get wanting to test automotive acceleration abilities are bearded redneck dudes. I guess it goes to show how the demographic changes based on location. I don’t often entertain them….and I would certainly not want the same end result as yours from them ?

Yes, get flashed all the time, even before my LED Headlamp Assy swap. When I swapped, I set truck 25' from garage door, placed tape across top edge of light (beam) along door, and set a reference point to align to with the new factory LED assemblies. adjusted them to exact ref point, got flashed a few times, re-adjusted down about 1'' lower, still get flashed -mostly low to the ground -cars

I plan on checking alignment specs per the service manual, to see if I am off.

I think the main issue is the Headlights only allow vertical adjustment and specifically the LED assemblies spread the light output wide (side to side) putting the light directly into the , on coming traffic lane (for a 2-lane hi-way mine projects down the middle of it) so there is no way to adjust it inboard (horizontally)

I will admit, the Leds are very bright especially noticeable when parked in front of a plate glass storefront window, so hopefully I can find a happy point in adjustment where other drivers are not cussing me out and still be good for pre deer collision avoidance. I have noted that this season, I have seen numerous deer and have had 3 near misses in the last month, but thanks to the LED's I had time to react.
I will also note, the Ranger WILL STOP on a dime from 65 MPH (this one left me about 3 feet) of clearance before impact

Hopefully will get time soon to check my adjustment per the manual, see attached ref
Update:
I adjusted mine per the manual, it appears that since I was getting flashed before and after my Lariat Headlight upgrade that my headlights were not correctly adjusted from factory.
Before I did the swap, I placed tape across garage door, so I had a ref point to adjust the LED assemblies to.
Per the manual - I was adjusted about 12 inches high, brought the light down to 39 1/4 inches.
I will give this a try and hopefully no more flashes from other drivers

On occasion, but always been low cars passing at crown of hill. Can't adjust headlights to help there.
When I drive my S2000, everyone looks like they have their brights on. :p

 Yeah....I am getting flashed. Oh.....not THAT!
I have a 2021 Ranger Tremor. I do not drive much at night, but, on a short trip last night I had 2 people flash me as if my high beams were on. They were not and my lights appear to be properly aimed. Is this just an issue that oncoming drivers are not use to the white LEDs? Or that having a taller truck, perhaps due to their vehicle height...it just appears to them that my high beams are on?

(I have not has a vehicle with LEDs before)

Thanks for merging my post over to this one. I read all 5 pages of comments.
Mine is a stock Lariat Tremor. My take; If the oncoming car sits at a different height or too low...nothing I can do about that. My guess is that my headlights are aimed to a factory "sweet spot" and that is where they are supposed to be by law here. I cannot adjust them to fit everyone else's vehicle height or how high or low they sit in their seat. It is MORE important that I see the roadway, that I can see hazards, see potential deer/game, etc. I will be as courteous as possible and tend not to turn my high beams on to show the other driver that they were not. When the roadway is clear of oncoming traffic, I have the light bars in the front bumper and ditch lights to light my way (and hope a 747 does not mistake the highway as a runway!) Thanks for all the responses here and hope you all have a GREAT CHRISTMAS!!! ?????
