Not saying a plug could crack or some weird defect but a coil pack is a better spare part to have on hand. They seem to be problematic for some on here one time or another. No, very few miles. But I always like to carry a spare set in the vehicle as part of the repair kit for road trips, etc
I have driven 2.3 Ecoboost Mustangs for the past 6 years and almost 100k miles. The only folks that I have heard having short life on plugs are those that think they need to be running a colder heat range plug.I plan on changing mine at 30K since I run a tune. I've read other places ecoboost motors eat plugs
That is just ridiculous. You should carry spare parts for "anything" that could possibly go wrong.I call roadside assistance....
but thats just me
From what I've read most tuners suggest a one ranger cooler sparkplug per 75-100 HP added. Based on that I don't think I need to change the heat range. I figure my Livernois tune adds around 50 HP so no need for a different plug but the extra heat shortens plug life. I'll go with the Motorcraft plugs so that's cheap insurance.I have driven 2.3 Ecoboost Mustangs for the past 6 years and almost 100k miles. Is your truck tuned?OEM...replaced mine at 50K out of habit but the set looked perfectly good...saved those for another life and installed new plugs...now at 80K and no sign of wear or hiccup...?
No it is not...just plumbing upgrades...Is your truck tuned?
OK maybe that's why your plugs looked good at 50K. Plus powering all those lights you added probably help burn off carbonNo it is not...just plumbing upgrades...
Don't forget the spare tailgate dampener.you're right.
I'm going to get a trailer to carry my extra front differential, extra CV joints, left and right. A new full driveshaft with center bearing. new Turbo, Battery and a transmission. I'll also get an engine stuffed in there in case the fuel/oil thing gets out of hand.
never know.
