I have a lot 2020 STX. Mods so far:
Linex spray in bedliner, tailgate dampener (get over it) weather tech floor mats front and back, weather tech Mud Flaps, K&N filter, AVS hood rock guard, Baja designs additional amber fog lights. Replaced stock headlights, brights and fog with LEDs. Replaced OEM front and rear shocks with Bhilstein, 2.0 Front adjust. Soon to add tinted windows, Carhart seat covers, And exhaust. Probably won’t do any engine or turbo mods because of California restrictions.

Aftermarket Headlights were huge and cheap drop in replacements, replaced the highs/lows, fogs, license plate lights, the front and rear turn signals, and the bed light and 3rd brake light. was all under 200$ for good stuff. just plug and play.

Any links to headlights, and other lights? Plug and play, that easy?

Thanks,
Jax

I got mine done at Line-X, and it turned out great. I also added a 3rd set of bed tie down hooks, and the ford hard folding tonoue cover.

I splurged for the color match. I have so much more to go, but I have a wife also.

Nice liner! I didn't know they did color matching. Sweet.

I can speak first-hand about the AMP Bed Extender, Line-X and tailgate damper. I love all three.

AMP Bed Extender - VERY easy to remove as already noted. It's light so tilting it up to remove it is a cinch.
When I go to the AMP website, the Ranger is not listed. Do you have a link?

Hi All,

As some of you may have heard in other threads, I pulled the trigger yesterday on ordering a 2021 Ranger 4x2 SuperCrew with the 302A package, tech package, rear locker, and tow package. I waited on some other upgrades either to save money or because they're cheaper/better aftermarket. I've spent some time online today organizing my list of items to purchase once the truck arrives this summer, and here's what I've got so far:

-Spray-in bedliner (from the local Z-Tech shop)
-Bed extender
-Running boards
-Locking trailer hitch
-Floor liners
-Storage compartment organizer
-Tailgate damper (I know, I know, but I've got a daughter who I can totally see opening the tailgate and banging herself in forehead.) :)
-Mudflaps

I don't do any offroading, and I'll mostly be using the truck to commute and occasionally haul things home from Lowe's and Menards. So what do you think? Is there anything you've found to be a useful addition that I haven't listed (and that doesn't require serious mechanic skills)? Do you have any brand recommendations on anything I've listed?

I figure I've got at least three months before the truck makes it down here, so maybe this thread can be a useful diversion while I wait. :)

-Chris
1st thing I did was get a stubby antenna, well worth it, so it does not hit my garage roof. Then I got NY Giants floor mats. Last week a got a 2.5 level, and my truck now looks hot. I love my truck. You will love yours!!?

I like my damper; haters gonna hate. Just train the cable to go inside the damper else it might get pinched. I got the front weathertech liners and flaps. Be careful not to drop the clip into the front fender like I did. Luckily there is an extra in the package. I got a bedrug mat (not installed yet) even though I have a spray in liner, and a gator soft trifold on order, mainly for gas mileage though that is still up for debate.

There's a mod for the damper getting pinched. :D Just wrap a piece of thin velcro around the cable and add a little electrical tape at the bottom to keep it from falling down. This way when you shut the tailgate it doesn't get pinched. You could just use electrical tape but I had a velcro tie from a set of HDMI cables so I used that.

I saw that, and if I need to add the 'mod' I will. I saw someone else mentioned they just trained the cable to go inside the damper. Mine is already sort of trained that way, so I may be good. I'm also going to add some silicon around the damper bracket on the bottom to soften the sharp edge... someone else used tape, but I'm going to try silicon first. I will report back in that thread my success or failure :)

I tried training mine but it kept binding up. For some reason mine was untrainable. ?

Copy. I just installed mine and have only opened the gate a few times. I checked it today, and it looked to be going inside (to the right) of the damper. I don't fully understand what the velcro mod does, but haven't tried it. I assume it just keeps the cable from getting too close to the damper, or maybe it forces it to the right? Dunno.

Yes it just keeps the cable from getting pinched between the damper and the body. I'm in and out of mine all the time and it was always binding up behind there. I saw another member post this a while back and it worked out great but cant remember who it was now. lol
