You might have to cut out the holes but you should be able to just install the brackets over the bed liner. I have the Ford drop in bed liner and the bed extender I'm using is from my Tacoma. The brackets are different from the Ford extender but I just cut out the holes from the sides of the bed liner. I use mine almost every day and it's been working great for 4 months now.
I had to drill holes in the bedliner to allow the bed extender brackets to go back in. It was a bit tricky since the bedliner isn't a tight fit on that part of the bed, but it worked and looks good.
Hey, Larry. I just looked at this one on Amazon and I do like the extra room the squared off ends give you, but Amazon says it does not fit the Ranger. Did you have to do any modifications?
Thanks. I didn't trust Amazon's answer so when I didn't hear back from you, I went directly to AMP's site. (Probably should've done this first!) Put in the Ranger and it came back with this unit as the one that fits. Either way, it looks so much better than the v-shaped ones.
