If $250 is the total cost, I would go for it. PDR guys can work wonders on these kind of dents. Hope it works out for you.
Thanks!

Total, he said he could go less if I drove to him.
That sounds like a very reasonable price. I'd probably drive there just to save a few extra bucks (darn Polish in me) but first I'd have to calculate how long a drive, how much gas, the price of gas and how long I'll be waiting.

Wait for a cooler day. The cooler the air the more dense it is. The more dense the air the less fuel is needed for stoichiometric efficiency, hence, better mpg.
On the way home choose a route that is all downhill, and if need be, leave the truck there until you can drive home with the wind.

That's a good price. I've had it done 4 times over the years, and it seems they are all about the same as far as technique. If he's been doing it for a few years then he'll probably be as skilled as anyone else.

The only bad news I can say is he won't know if it's possible until he starts working on it. Like others have said, if there is a seam there then it's a crap shoot. If it's all the same sheet of metal then it should be easy, as long as he can get to it.

Good luck!

Yeah, it would be about a 40 minute drive there after work, then about an hour and 15 minutes back home. He said if he came and decided he couldn't do, it would be a $75 charge. Then I thought about the dent in my Harley's gas tank I've been meaning to get fixed. I would have to have them come to my house to fix both in one shot. Still waiting for a response on that.
I don't mind paying someone for the road time if it's reasonable and saves mileage on my vehicles.

He said he thinks it's double-walled metal in that area. If so, that would complicate the procedure, he says.
