I received a pre-paid Mastercard from Ford.

As some may remember I've had to take my truck in for the fuel in oil issue, which seems to be 100% resolved BTW.

Apparently members on other Ford forums are getting them as well.

It says...

We are aware that you have had to return your vehicle to your dealership multiple times for repairs. We regret the inconvenience and disappointment this must have caused.

In a gesture of apology and as a token of our appreciation, we have enclosed a prepaid Mastercard Loyalty Card in the amount of $XXX

WooHoo! unexpected cash is always nice!

Thanks Ford!

REDtek boxes arrived today. Auto mirror module and window module. These look nice and solid. The harnesses are very nice. I have to maybe reconsider some of what I said and thought about t-taps after seeing these JOW connectors.

I just finished installing it. Looks easy on their videos, but they're also standing up. There was one clamp at the downpipe... I have no idea how ford got it on there. It was a bitch to get anything in to loosen it. When I did finally get something up there, I needed a breaker bar, in the 1" of space that I had to loosen it. Then, one of the MBPR clamps after starting to tighten, began turning the whole bolt in the clamp. I had a hell of a time getting the nut loose from the bolt and rethreading it. I'm still not convinced that it's tight enough.

I like the way it sounds. I'm at work tomorrow, but will try to get you a sound clip of it Thursday.

Several on here including myself had an issue where fuel would leak into the crankcase and dilute the oil.

BIG thread on the issue HERE

You don't hear as much about it anymore so Ford apparently got their vendor to resolve whatever was going on.

Oil level would rise on the dipstick and the oil had a distinct fuel smell.

On my truck, the problem was the HPFP leaking down into the pan.

Dealer replace the HPFP and my oil level has been steady for the full length of my oil change.

Before it would creep up 1/2 a quart over 1000 miles.

Others had to have fuel injectors replaced.

Here is the service ticket from mine

I just ordered them yesterday! Curious how the install goes.
Install was pretty easy. The window module was really easy. Getting into the door was easy. 5 torx screws, and a few clips. Be careful if you have the ambient lighting. The plug is really in there and the light pipe is fragile.

The mirror module was still easy and only slightly more involved. There is a 7mm screw on a tab at the top of the headlight control panel. The extra wiring required in the kick-panel took a few minutes. The wire colour is correct. It doesn’t help that I am colour blind. I would like to know the function of those loose wires, so I could test to verify before connecting to them.

It’s all done. I took lots of pics if anybody would find them helpful.

Any annoying creases or folds where the mats don't lay flat?
Several others already posted their experience, but I'll add mine.
All the mats lay real nice. The rear is folded in the box, so i let it set in the garage over the weekend. The fronts are not folded in the box, so no folding issues.
They are shaped perfect - lay in snug, but no tendency to buckle.

Thanks for that. I got some weathertech mats for another vehicle a few years ago and they were folded to all hell and several of the edges cut uneven. It was crazy for $200

I'm back at work for a few weeks, so not sure when they'll get installed. I watched the video for the windows, and it's fairly easy, just a door panel. Danager was kind enough to post his mirror install, and also looks pretty straight forward.

I will post if I have problem though.

Good luck

Shrockworks steel skid plates #2, 3 & 4.

Ford installed a Westin front skid plate when I had the Warn bumper installed, and it is also heavy steel. I'm generally not a Westin fan, but the plate is more than adequate and looks great, so I didn't bother with the front Shrockworks plate.

Forcast says rain, rain, rain for the next number of days, so not sure if I'll get them mounted on the weekend or not.
