My 2021 Iconic Silver FX4 arrived at the dealership last Thursday, picked it up and signed papers on Friday. I ordered this on April 5th 2021 and it took almost exactly 6 months to the day in order for me to receive my keys in hand. It arrived with 13 miles on the engine. The only issue I found on inspection was the tailgate handle being "faded", it looks like it's been in the sun too long. Not a big deal to me but will be replaced under warranty. My final purchase price is $44.7K all taxes and fees plus an 8yr/100,000mi warranty. Thanks to all who answered my many questions here in the past months, because of this forum I had more knowledge when it came to tracking my order than the dealership did. If anyone has questions about their order status I hope that I can be a valuable asset here!!

I have been toying with trading the Ranger in for an F150 and went by the dealer to see how it would work with X Plan pricing. They told me that Ford is running 3-6 months lead on custom order deliveries right now. They said this is due to the ongoing supply shortages, and the high number of special orders being placed because the dealer lots are basically empty. Sad thing is it's likely going to get worse especially if Ford continues to move forward with this custom order only business model vs the dealers having a large selection on hand ready to go.

Yet we see some people in here getting them in 3 months from order. Makes little sense. Ordered a Tremor on 8-18. Got VIN# on 9-9.........nothing since.

About the only certainty that we have is Ford isn't processing the builds in order received. Makes me wonder if they are running them in batches with similar configurations, or if they are completing batches based on parts availabilities.

She seems to have been worth the wait. She's a butte. I suppose that's not politically correct, to me, vehicles will always be a "she", unless they specifically tell me they identify as a "he" or any other number of pro nouns.

So when your order, do you pay at that time? Make payments on a non vehicle? Hows does that work.
