Recently had the full set of Talons Garage aluminum skid plates installed. Why did I go this route? I did not like the negative feedback of the ARB installs, lack of oil drain access hole or the front plate. The RCI transfer case skid would have required modifications with my white-knuckle sliders due to the brackets mounting them to the frame and I didnt love the look. Stock plates left room for damage. Installed the rough country rear diff skid which also protects the drive shaft a bit and is cheap but solid steel. 589 fab shock mount skids installed as well. Went ahead and had the T-case, front and rear diff fluids changed since all the plates needed to be dropped, and I had just hit about 40k miles. Decided a trip to Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls TX would be the perfect testing ground. My sliders saved me as I took a hard hit that would have caused body damage. They didn't budge. 265/70s handled the terrain well. Enjoy the pics!
