Your truck looks great.

However, when I saw your username, Mott the Hoople started blasting All the Young Dudes in the back of my brain and I’m probably stuck with it for a while. David Bowie wrote the song, by the way, It’s all your fault.

2020 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 - (Sport, Tow, & 302a package)

So I've recently decided to start documenting the build progress of my 2020 Ford Ranger via Ranger5g, Instagram and various Facebook groups I'm a member of. I've been an avid consumer of all the awesome info this forum has to offer and figured it was time to start contributing back and sharing my progress.

So here goes.. I bought my truck brand new in September of 2020 from Camelback Ford here in Phoenix, AZ. It didn't stay stock for very long.. I took my truck offroad within a week of owning it and the obsession began shortly there after! Lol

Great looking truck, how do you like the Falcon Wildpeaks? I went with the Firestone Destination XT tires and I'm not a fan. I'll be changing it something else when they wear out. I forgot things about the Falcons.

Thanks! I’m a fan of them so far. They’re pretty quiet on the street, do a good job out in the desert in the sand and rocks. I haven’t had them out in the rain or snow, but I’m hopeful since they’re three peak rated. For the price they seem to be a solid choice.

Got some recent mods to update the ol’ build thread with..

So my wife has been having trouble getting in the truck since being pregnant, so I threw some Go Rhino DSS running boards on it.. Been pretty happy with them so far. I think they look decent and more importantly, she’s able to get in more easily.

I also managed to stumble upon an awesome deal for a Truxedo x15 Pro tonneau cover and swapped out my old one. Seriously loving the new low profile look!

After visiting AZ a few times (mainly summer months), was just curious if you AZ residents wash your vehicles in the morning or evening? I would think middle of the day would be brutal? Just curious. :like: Nice looking truck

...and where is Dave?

Haha I really try and avoid doing anything in the middle of the day during the summer months! Even being in the North Valley we hit every bit of 115+ degrees. So yeah car washes are definitely a morning/evening activity. Appreciate the compliment btw! :)

Where ever the shade is! Most of the time is to damn hot to be outside.

Not sure yet
The wife and I enjoy AZ a lot. Wish we could move there, but not in the cards...right now ;) So visits will have to continue. Don't know anyone there, so things like "washing a car" never really hit me. Being from Illinois, the humid summers allow for a sweaty day of detailing here. Although right now, it's just messy with snow, salt, and 20 degree temps (heat wave for winter here):like:

It's brutal trying to wash it in the summer here., even at night it'll be 106 out at 10:00 pm. ? I just wait until the sun goes down and do it then but you still have to move fast because it's so hot it dries really fast.

Still trying to recover from last summers car washes.

We went to Mexico today. I had my second appointment to get my implant installed in my mouth.
