I might as well join this thread and it's going to be a lengthy post! For whatever reason, I woke up at 2:30am this morning and cannot get back to sleep.... :(

So, that being said....,

I'm almost 47 years old and still build Lego's from time to time. Loved these things when I got my first Technic set, for Christmas, in 1980 (I was 5 years old then)! I still remember what it was, but cannot find it online at all. It was all yellow (I believe all Technic's back then were all yellow), but it was like a big stationary crane/hoist maybe? I'll have to do some more looking one day I actually have some free time...

Throughout the years, I had different sets of Lego's. I remember one Technic set I feel in love with around 1987-88 and bought after saving money for, what seemed like an eternity. It was this thing, 1986 LEGO Technic Arctic 8660 Arctic Rescue Unit:

I thought this was the coolest thing ever, but I was a teenager at the time! Actually, looking at this pic, it's still cool :) It's like $350+ on eBay currently....

Around 1998, I found a Technic Motorcycle, this one to be exact, Lego 8417 Mag Wheel Master:

This is the optional version I built and I actually found this in some old stuff of mine, packed away a few years ago. It's sitting on a shelf in our living room, 100% in tact!

I'm a big Star Wars fan and when Episodes 1-3 came out in the late 90's through early 2000's, I bought every single one of the Star Wars sets that were released, (with most of them being in storage later on, that my mom gave away... READ MORE BELOW), except for the LEGO Star Wars Gungan Sub 7161, released in 1999:

Mine is built, still in the box, in our attic :)

When I got into my 20's, (maybe around 2005), I kinda forgot about Lego's... :( I was about to get married, had just started a new job and all. Every Lego I had from all the years before, got partially disassembled and put into many, many plastic totes and put into my mothers' attic...

My brother inherited most of them, as he's 13 years younger than me, but around 2014, I found out about building custom Lego's! Mostly, wanting to build a Number 5, from the movie, Short Circuit:

I actually found the guy who built this and got the entire parts list from him! I really need to build this guy, as he was one of my favorite robots growing up!

So, I went to my moms' house, to pick all those boxes up and take them home, only to find out, that she gave every single one of the totes to Goodwill!!!!! I was so upset! There were thousands of dollars of Lego's in all those boxes!

Now that we're all caught up, I'd say within the last 6-10 years, I've been slowly buying kits that I see/like! This is some of my recent stuff:

The Force Awakens: Millennium Falcon #75105 released in 2015

Just had the Optimus delivered yesterday, haven't had a chance to start it yet - but I started last year and get them as I can afford them.

Went to Kohl's this morning, to do some free Amazon returns and saw this, so I bought it! Haven't seen it anywhere, other than online :)
