Damn modern stuff...
This was our "Legos" from the 50's (Lincoln Logs) and 60's (Erector Sets)

I had Lincoln Logs and Erector Sets too when I was a kid, in the 70's/80's!

OK, what the heck is a Snarl ???
LOL!

This is exactly what I was saying Snarl was :D

OK...not familiar with it. If it wasn't in a John Wayne movie then it's too modern for me !!! :giggle:
I remember John Wayne stuff too... Snarl from The Transformers, which made their debut in 1984, would not be what I call "modern"....

Us GenX kids got the opportunity to play with all 3.

Another win for the 80s kids!
Indeed again, as I'm a Gen-X as well :)

And a Star Wars fan too, from the looks of it? A PC gamer too perhaps? And a dog fan as well?
Close. Never got into gaming, the others absolutely.

Hey yall, this thread made me do something bad, LOL! Over the last month or so, I've been finding and buying retired sets of the Lego Speed Champions series, which I will post pics of later this week, assuming I remember? I had foot surgery last Friday and built the Speed Champion cars, once I got home :) I need to put some shelves up in our office, so I'll be able to display them better/easily.

I also bought and built 2 Mega Construx Hot Wheels kits, from Target, with actual smaller collector Hot Wheel cars, the Bone Shaker and the 8-Ball Rodger Dodger cars. Pics are kinda crappy, but I'll take some better ones soon.

With not being about to drive for another 5 days or so, I've been watching all sort of stuff on YouTube, including some forgotten Ken Block videos, which is what my next find is about!

I did a few searches online and found out that a 3rd party made a 1/8th scale "Lego" Hoonicorn and Hoonitruck! Bought them online and one arrived tonight! Found a forum about these and one guy said it took him 21 hours to build the truck, which is almost 24" long when built and the truck is actually an RC truck! Truck is 737 steps, 334 page booklet!

Unfortunately, both vehicles were not licensed by Ford, but with some more digging, I found a company that makes accurate decals/stickers for both sets and bought them! I also found a guy that 3D prints the accurate wheels, so I ordered a set of Bronze wheels for the Hoonicorn and a set of White wheels for the Hoonitruck!

I just wanted to update yall that might've not known about these knock-off "Lego's" out there!

Alright yall, I finally got the Hoonitruck finished tonight! It took me 18 hours and 40 minutes to finish it! This thing is a beast! It had 3695 pieces and was only missing 2 pieces, which I have already found on eBay and will be ordering them soon! Note, I haven't gotten my correct White wheels or licensed stickers yet. Once I get all those, I'll post new pics, but here's some pics of my progress over the last 2 days!

This was Bag 1 alone. There were 9 bags in total and the blue and black connector pieces were all in separate bags, as you can see in this pic, in the top left corner. Anyway, Bag 1 took me 2 hours to build!

These are Bags 1, 2 & 3 built and attached to each other. This was at 3:30 am this Wednesday morning! Sorry for the bad pic, but it was super dark for picture taken, even with all my lights on...
IMG_20220720_071432926.webp

These are Bags 4, 5, 6, & 7 added to the previous bags and the time frame for this was 8.5 hours from most of today, Tuesday...

Wife and I had to run some errands and we got back home about 7pm tonight, where I started working on the last 2 Bags, 8 & 9, which I finally finished a little bit ago, at 10PM tonight! I'll post better pics tomorrow.

If any of you do not know who Ken Block is, I strongly suggest you check him out on YouTube! This is his Hoonitruck:

That’s super cool! Where did you get this one ?
Amazon of all places!

I was a little leery of the reviews, but for the price and size of it, I figured I'd take a shot at it.
Mould King 13082 Pickup Truck

I paid $149 US for it. I ordered it on July 17th, on a Sunday and it was delivered Tuesday, July 19th about 5pm! Normal 2 day Prime shipping! I almost bought the Lego Technic Ford Raptor Sunday, but couldn't find it at Target. It's $100 and nothing like the size/quality of the Hoonitruck! I don't even want the Raptor after building this thing!

Yea, it's a knock-off, so what, but I couldn't find the original kit, even though, I found the forum/thread of the original builder! :O The Hoonicorn Mustang arrived today, but I'm going to have to make room, before I build it.

I've been super bored since my foot surgery, so I've been looking at all sorts of Lego's and KO Lego's on Amazon, eBay and AliExpress. There's a bunch of Lego motorcycles on AliExpress and Amazon, which I plan on buying some of the more unique ones. There's also some KO Custom Speed Champion cars, that I'm thinking about buying too, at a fraction of the Lego prices! I have to build some shelves in my office tomorrow, so I can have room to put all these things! If I had the permission, I'd put awesome Lego's all over the house :D

I've found some cool looking, massive "Lego" Pirate Ships online too! Like these two,

Wife and I also bought another aquarium over the weekend, so I made it look pretty sweet Monday and we started putting fish in it Wednesday. I've never added real soil and live plants to an aquarium before, so this was a new experience!

nice tank you have set up! I had a lot of fish until last year, lot of fun to watch and see them learn and grow.
Thanks, we also have a 75 gallon tank with 2 Yellow Belly Sliders in it. They're both about 1.5 years old.

And this is my 1500-2000 gallon water feature pond/stream/waterfall, I built in the Spring of 2020. A few months later, I built the massive deck around it!

This is the time wood was scarce and the reason my boards were all different sizes... We went to 4 Lowe's/Home Depot's in town, trying to find lumbar... Side note, notice how the pond goes under the deck :)

We have 9 fish in it I believe? 4 large Koi, 2 smaller Koi (new additions), and 3 Fancy Goldfish (which aren't even Gold, LOL). It's come a long way in 2.5 years! It seems like we're always adding more plants or shrooms or something around it.

Yes, that's a real "retired" fire hydrant! They were going to throw it away, at work several years ago and I asked if I could have it and they yes! It sat in our backyard for years, until I decided to do this with it in late 2021!
