I installed the Ford Performance cat-back on my Ranger about 4.5k mile ago.

It’s built by Borla for Ford Performance.

Here’s a video with sound.

You can compare that to the vids of the other exhausts in the following thread.

And a couple of us discuss our opinions of the Ford Performance exhaust specifically in the following post.

I personally love the exhaust and haven’t heard anything bad about it. Hope that helps.

Is there any cabin drone on the highway? I’m worried about that with the kids and the wife. Ready to pull the trigger on the Ford performance though.

I believe the Ford package is Borla. I went with MagnaFlow. From the sound clips on the forum, I like the Magna Flow more. It's a personal thing.
Same here, love the MagnaFlow on mine. No drone and a nice rumble with out that ricey sound.

I did the Roush intake as well. I found a performance difference.
Good to know, I'm not big on intakes but... I'll roll that around in my brain some LOL

I'll admit my ignorance here and ask...is the Magnaflow custom installed or does it come as a "kit"?
I like the "look" of dual exhaust from the rear of the truck, and I know that no matter what I do when I decide I want to do such a thing I'll be relegated (for now) to a kit from Gibson or to a custom install from a local shop in order to get the duals from the rear.

Sigh...so many cool mods available, and so little money!

Yup...money is always the gate. Listen to the sounds, as much as you can, to me - the Magna Flow had a resonance that wasn't to ricer. It's all personal...what you like. I bought a dual. I think it's important to use the original design for heat as much as possible. I'm far from an expert...being conservative.

I appreciate the dual exhaust look as a nod to the classic torque dependant V motors. It's a sort of a display of power to others now and while I was at the Ford dealership I looked over an Escape hybrid... the high end version sports dual exhaust tips (whether they are functional or not) and I thought it amusing.

I couldn't justify the extra weight or complexity of a post muffler exhaust system when I went with the Magnaaflow. It's not as aggressive sounding as other systems but there is no evidence it provides any less advantage than other 3 inch cat-back systems.

The Ford/Borla system offers dual tips to compromise in my view.

Go for it.

I installed the Ford Performance exhaust as my first "upgrade". You do notice a difference in noise (it is louder by about double stock). The performance difference depends more on WHAT ELSE you do. The Roush intake does help, and certainly the Ford Performance tune. Do all of these, and what you get is literally tire squealing acceleration.

Can vouch for the ford performance exhaust and roush intake setup. Very visceral experience driving it, although maybe too ricey sounding for some. Personally, I love it. Even have some mentioned it sounds like a pretty deep rumble, but I will say you still won’t get the v8 deep rumble of course.

MBRP makes a dual out the back. Not a bad price either. I went with Ford Performance for the rear clearance when off-road, but if that's not a worry, it MBRP might be your thing.
