For those of you commenting about the Lariat package being worth it because of the LED if you read my post the only reason I'm considering switching to the XLT is because there is a risk that I may not get LED headlights. Some Lariats are shipping without LED headlights and giving a pathetic $500 credit. The LED headlights are the biggest reason I went with the Lariat. The rest really doesn't matter either way.
Just order the lariat, and if it shows up without the LED headlights refuse to accept it. You're not out any money until you sign the paperwork after delivery.

With the push button start you can't set your mirrors to extend automatically. You need to be able to retract the mirrors and turn off the engine. With the key in accessory position push the mirror switch. When you next start the vehicle the mirrors will automatically extend.
I'm not sure what you're talking about here. The mirror switch is a hard switch--you can press it at any time to flip the state, even if the vehicle is off. If the button is pressed in the mirrors will be retracted the next time the truck is turned on, and if the button is out the mirrors will be extended the next time the truck is turned on.

I don’t regret my 2021 XLT 4x4 with basic 300a Package. Has the tow package and rear window (hey don’t make fun of me. It came with it). For Me I like the gauge cluster more and there were a number of things I didn’t need in the lariat. I would have loved heated seats but in live in lower mainland of BC so it’s not necessary (to me) with cloth seats. (Love them in wife’s escape cause it has leather so it is nice in winter). Power seats would have been great but again not necessary for me.
I made some compromises to buy off the lot but nothing that would make me go - oh I wish….
But it really is about buying what makes you happy and not regretting it.

Even when you sit down on the driver's seat for the very first time at noon on a 110 degree day wearing Daisy Duke shorts?
Not even a little bit?
Not me. I start it with the app 5 mins before entering and it's a balmy 69 degrees in there. I then turn on the heated seat for back pain relief ?.

I find the leather (fake leather?) in my truck does not get that hot. Not like leather seats of decades ago.
