Just order the lariat, and if it shows up without the LED headlights refuse to accept it. You're not out any money until you sign the paperwork after delivery. For those of you commenting about the Lariat package being worth it because of the LED if you read my post the only reason I'm considering switching to the XLT is because there is a risk that I may not get LED headlights. Some Lariats are shipping without LED headlights and giving a pathetic $500 credit. The LED headlights are the biggest reason I went with the Lariat. The rest really doesn't matter either way.
I'm not sure what you're talking about here. The mirror switch is a hard switch--you can press it at any time to flip the state, even if the vehicle is off. If the button is pressed in the mirrors will be retracted the next time the truck is turned on, and if the button is out the mirrors will be extended the next time the truck is turned on.With the push button start you can't set your mirrors to extend automatically. You need to be able to retract the mirrors and turn off the engine. With the key in accessory position push the mirror switch. When you next start the vehicle the mirrors will automatically extend.
