Yes, you can disable the double honk using Forscan.

I don't want to enable it, I wanted to disable it and the procedure I explained works for my 2021 keyless entry. There's a double honk enabler you can buy and I'll dig out the link and add it. I just close the door to the first click so it doesn't close all the way but not really going to help you if it's snowing out.
Here's the link.

Thanks, but so for what I am doing works. Maybe if I have other alerts that annoy me I will check it out.Yes, you can disable the double honk using Forscan.
I recommend the Forscan approach. It's ~$20 to get an OBDII tool, and a free software to disable it. Once you have it, you'll probably find that you want to do other things with it. For example, I turned on cornering light option for my fog light (which has me now thinking about getting a multi-fog pod setup, and wiring the actual "fog" lights to 1'' pods at a 45deg to actually serve as a cornering light).
As for the washboard, $200 rear shocks should fix that. Bilsteins seem to be the #1 recommended choice for value, but you really can't go wrong with any aftermarket shock on this truck... just because the stock shocks are just that bad.
That's what I meant. It does both so if you want to reverse it you just plug it back in and it puts it back to stockI don't want to enable it, I wanted to disable it and the procedure I explained works for my 2021 keyless entry.
What about different shocks? Would you recommend them? That's what I meant. It does both so if you want to reverse it you just plug it back in and it puts it back to stock
Lived in western Nebraska for 20+ years. Have done 75 mph or higher on many washboarded roads in everything from mustangs and Camaros up to 5 ton trucks. Yes it bounces your around. Never got scared. But then again I’ve dukes of hazarded a Camaro at 145 mph over a very raised railroad crossing so scary is relative to perception and skills.
Well I've gone 70 plus before and never got scared, but when you start going sideways it makes you think!Lived in western Nebraska for 20+ years. OK, but there is another thread going on another forum on the same subject. Anyway I think I have have the same Ranger as you, and what worked for me if you have keyless ignition is to just leave the key fob in the truck. It won't lock and the horn won't beep!Anyone know how to (if possible) get rid of that annoying honking when you walk away from the truck while running and you have your key still on you? Went through the settings and cannot find anything. Hopefully I'm missing it.
You'd be surprised by how many people believe this. A lot of keyless ignition vehicles are stolen around here, due to ignorance.I just deal with it, without the fob inside no one can steal it or go more than 30 feet. Something I need to try ?.
