Annoyance?

A.S.S. resets to automatically enable on vehicle start up. This is a problem/feature with all makes and models. But why can’t it be to remember last setting and resume to same position on restart.

Did anything annoy you about your Ranger (not talking mechanical faults) and how did you solve it?

Mine - storage for little stuff. I keep a basic set of tools to help others (or myself with my older car) etc and the under seat area is a joke. Especially coming from a hatchback where I could just toss it there but also had a bunch of storage options.

The fix, Swing case. Didn't want to lose any more bed length to a toolbox and I just needed one of them. Perfect size for all the random crap.

Why the post? Looking for what to do to it and how to make it a nicer daily driver in general.

Currently up next: Struts/shocks and remove some of the rake with them.

I added two of those rear seat Molle systems, but put them on the back seat facing forward, added plenty of storage.

They can also hold 4 AR15's if needed.

You can do something like I did. Slapped these together just before winter to see how they would work out to hold odd things such as tow chain, strap, bottle jack, list is endless. Don't loose flat bed space & works with my board across the back. Room to improve & might even add a lid. So far they work just fine.

Would love a Decked system but here's my low cost/low tech solution for bed storage...couple of 50 gallon crates...left for camp gear, right for tools...strap to keep them from shifting...easy to empty out but a bit heavy with all the stuff in them...see the "Cali Duster" in the middle? ?

Same here I really like the swing case, Keep thinking about adding a second one.

I really don't understand why Ford didn't put in a tiered counsel, every Ford I have had has had a tiered counsel, you know that place to but your loose change, pens, small note pad etc.
Something else while I think of it, it sure would be nice if the center counsel arm rest could slide forward about 2 inches for added comfort.

I added an armrest tray, why it didn't come with it is beyond me.

the tiny underseat bins in the back count for me, too.

I have a big plastic box I can toss in the bed when I need extra storage. I strap it down to keep it from sliding, but I use the bed enough for tossing stuff like mulch and firewood and such enough that I don't want to bolt things in that I'd then have to unbolt for such jobs. I already have the Yakima bed rack and Exodux bike rack that I need to remove.

Have said before but will say again...

Wish that the Ranger hadn't come with the Auto Start-Stop feature. Cured this by installing an Auto-Stop Eliminator which defaults to the last setting either on or off. Someone mentioned in a post that in either the 21 or 22 models this feature would be an optional purchase...good move Ford!

Ford should have equipped Ranger's with a DeeZee Damper and a video on therapy solutions for muscle atrophy

I'm not a fan of the a/c temperature button. Its really hard to see even in the daylight and i use it pretty often. I haven't solved it yet, I just feel for it and hope i dont hit the fan speed and take a/c off of auto.

The Auto Start/Stop Eliminator does exactly that. I have one in the Ranger and my wife's 21 Jeep. It remembers the last setting on restart.

I bought one very soon into by 9 month ownership, easy install. And then I left it on truck for the next guy when Ford bought back my lemon. I even left the damper on as another gift. A pay it forward move, hoping for some good karma in the universe.

Look a little closer. They do offer one for the Ranger. A bit pricey but they do!

I was just going by their fitment drop downs, said not available for the Ranger.

That the driver window is one touch up/down and the passenger is not. Fixed it with a Trac module from Australia.
