As part of my 'tacky light' collection I purchased a pair of whit/red/amber led strips. Supposedly rugged enough/weatherproof to mount on the body above the running boards with the intention of wiring the white lights in lieu of the spot lights when I install the power steps.
The yellow lights are actually sequential so I suppose those will end up on the turn signals though I'm not totally in love with that - would I want them sequence back to front or the other way?
Last are the red lights which the manufacturer suggests hooking to the brakes but that sounds awful - I'd be happier to have them flash with the emergency blinkers. Only thing is I don't know if it would be better to give them a separate flasher and fused circuit or simply (?) tap off the factory circuit. I'm thinking an isolated setup would be smart(er).
Has anyone done some similar already and give me some ideas?
