The FPP instructions state that adaptive cruise control should be adjusted after leveling.
It also states that the "scan tool" must be used in this process.
I was going to have a local shop do the install, but now it looks like I need to have the local Ford dealer do it?

What is your experience with needing to have the ACC recalibrated after a 2"-3" level?

Thanks!

I had the local dealer install the Ford leveling kit about a year ago. I reminded the advisor that the cruise control radar unit and headlights will need to be adjusted per the Ford work instructions.

The work order receipt stated installed the leveling kit, wheel alignment and adjusted headlights. Nothing about adjusting the cruise control radar module. So on the drive home, I checked the performance of the active cruise control (ACC). There is no doubt in my mind that they removed the front fascia to check adjustment of the module. Probably a good thing as they would have possibly damaged something in the process. That said, I have had no issues with adaptive cruise control on my truck. I could see the possible need to confirm vertical adjustment of the module but not the horizontal adjustment. I don't see why the horizontal adjustment would change with the leveling kit.

In regards to the headlights, after the install, I was getting flashing lights from oncoming vehicles. I have a copy of the factory shop manual instructions for headlight aiming. They were way off - too high. I adjusted them down and have never had another case of headlights being flashed at me.

Then I checked the fog light adjustment which is not part of the work instructions. They were set too low per the FSM. That even after leveling of the truck. Came that way from the factory. Easy adjustment to make.

I had the dealer do the kit install for warranty considerations. They did a good job of installing the suspension components and wheel alignment. I'm happy with the suspension modification.

Cheers
