Not sure if you need to have your phone connected and then turn on the audio, click sources and look for either AA (android auto) by itself or click on your phone and access it thru the phone.
I was just sharing my experience with my first AAWireless update. I have only been using it a short while. It eliminates the need to connect via USB. It was confusing that it prompted me to update, then acted like it didn't see the phone. So maybe I am helping someone who runs into the same thing, you need to bring up the AAWireless app up on your phone to get the update to work, while it it still wirelessly connected to the truck.
Yep, clear on wireless now, i just don't use it. I only used the wired variety in my Durango so I could use Google maps when I was responding to a call.
SYNC 3 doesn't support wireless. They are using a separate AAWireless module plugged into the USB port. That module is what gets the software update they are talking about.
ah ok. I have a wireless CarPlay adapter but I never get updates notifications on the screen. I was confused.
So yesterday, I could make calls out, didn't try answering calls coming in. I was able to respond to texts the first time after that replies weren't working. I think it's more of a Google thing than the aawireless.
