Starting mid summer when ever I turn on A/C it defaults to Recirculation. It never used to be this way. I can hit the Recirculation button and it turns it off. Can anyone explain why.

If you are using (MAX-AC) that's the normal operation, the Air Inlet Door Closes
The Automatic control comes from the Temp Humidity Sensor (inlet by your Right Knee) dash panel and the Sun Load Sensor (the knub sticking out on top of the dash)
It is a dual function sensor (Auto-Lights) and (Sunload)
The Temp Humidity Sensor, has a small fan that draws air across the sensor, the sensor may be dirty (dust) build-up.

In regular AC Mode, the door will move (Closed) when it needs to and will only remain closed for (5-Minutes) and then move back to partially open. Cabin Temp / Humidity as well as OAT dependent and the sun intensity play a role in that operation as well as your selected temp as compared to actual cabin temp and the ambient temp (OAT)

I have an STX with the regular A/C and it's on Recirc almost all the time, always has. I turn it off after a while.
