10 November 2021 - Received email from Repurchase Coordinator for Ford asking for copies of supporting documents for finalize buyback. And to know what dealer I want to bring Ranger to.
I’m glad you’re getting this resolved. It’s sad you had to go through all this.

Once the return is complete (I get paid) I will rite up a new lemon law thread for future reference. The process takes some time but it was super easy. I will explain the details on when Ford will make your monthly truck payments due to down time for repairs and few other things I learned.

This was meant to be my truck that I own well into retirement. O well, next chapter in life.

Formula to calculate usage….
Less Usage (based on 7,165 miles / 100,000 * $40,605.00):

sales tax, registeration, doc fees, title fees all reimbursed.
Total Repurchase Amount: $40,567.15

Curious, What did you replace it with?

So you mean
PurchasePrice - (Miles / 100,000 * PurchasePrice)
40605 - (7165 / 100000 * 40605)
40605 - 2909
37696 + tax/fees/etc = 40567.15

Glad you're getting taken care of at least.

Sorry to hear about your dilemma. Always makes me nervous about modding early and loosing the time and effort. But can’t live your life in fear of the unknown. Glad to see your being taken care of.

After installing the vinyl dash lettering I’m convinced I’d sue for double the MSRP. I’d make sure the jury was packed with old folks that have fat fingers and bad eyesight. Make them each do the install and I’d win for sure.?

You think I live my life in fear of the unknown? Think what you want, doesn’t mean its true. I’m a US Army combat vet, your opinion of me is so far off the mark. Thanks for the early morning chuckle.

Yeah man, I think you totally misread what he meant. I think he was saying it makes him nervous about making the mods early on because of the unknown happening. But you can't live in fear of the unknown. Unless I'm missing something, he didn't call you out and say you have fear of anything. ?‍♂

I think you misread my post there. I was saying it makes ME nervous doing mods early on. Apologies if you took that out of context.

Thanks for your service.

That's not what I read at all in his post.

He was saying he is sometimes fearful of modding early and losing that investment. And that he shouldn't live in fear of the unknown.

Done and done!!!!!

I just dropped off my beautiful Ranger and they gave me a fat check for $40,500. The dealer even provided a UBER so I didn’t have to wait on the courtesy vehicle. Total process took 20 minutes to remove plates and sign papers.

I will make a short thread about the lemon law process that may help anyone with any vehicle. Good news is Ford makes it very easy to do even from a smart phone.

I hope everyone has drama free years of happy Ranger ownership. This turned out to be 9 months of ownership where I got to learn the good and bad of the Ranger at a cost of about $2,000 (slight depreciation based on mileage I put on truck).
