Have fun. We have time some others do not, so take a couple of 5-8K trips each year with our travel trailer.

Gonna be an expensive one.,.
We save money traveling. There’s no place to put extra stuff, and I’m not working on big projects buying materials on the road. We also don’t buy new toys while on trips. We typically budget $100 a day for trips.

Tomorrow I'm heading out on my first big road trip in the Tremor, to a family event in Cedar Rapids, IA (via Gallup, NM and Wichita, KS)... then I will continue to Indianapolis next Sunday to visit a friend, then to Detroit (and Ontario) for family... and finally over to Seattle (via Madison, WI, Bismarck, ND, and Helena, MT) to visit some more friends before finally heading home to Anaheim (via Chico, CA). I'll be ready for my first oil change when I get home.

I'm going to *try* and use my GoPro to live stream some of it, we'll see how that works :D

Day 1 is over, and I'm relaxing in Gallup, NM tonight. The YouTube stream didn't go as expected. I might try Twitch tomorrow. The downside to any live stream is that I can't really listen to music unless I mute the audio from the stream, bleh.

Yeah, I'm gonna ditch the live stream idea... But tonight I made it to Wichita from Gallup (New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, then Kansas). Tomorrow is the last part of Leg 1 to Cedar Rapids.

Gas mileage improved dramatically once I left the mountain regions and into the plains. Overall MPG on this trip so far is 19.1 MPG, and tonight's fill-up logged my best so far, 20.5 MPG.

I'm about to start the next portion to Indianapolis (and making a couple stops as a Star Trek nerd at the "future birthplaces" of Captain Kirk and Captain Janeway), I had a great time seeing family in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The first part of the trip was 1,930 miles, and I averaged 19.5 MPG over the three days. I also figured I'd try E15 gas, especially since it's much cheaper than regular unleaded out here.

I'm also modifying the next major leg to take the opportunity to travel via Canada for a bit.
