No reason that a bigger engine would not fit into the 5G Rangers. We used to put 302 and 289 HiPo engines in the first gen Rangers quite often. Man were they fun.

Yes either a factory/special order or drop in option would be nice.

Let's do a forum group buy. We can buy them overseas and have them shipped here.

In October 2016 I saw the new Ranger in a mall in the Philippines and I wanted to do the same minus the group buy. It was a diesel which was a deal killer. Why do these other countries get these beautiful vehicles first?! Ford is an American company. Even in England those guys tend to forget that Ford is not an English company and I bet in Australia they think it's an Australian company.

In 1989 I met a guy who dropped either a 302 or 350 small block into a little Toyota single cab and it would just tear up the pavement. It definitely was a rocket on wheels.

Years ago a church friend had a 302 in his Courier. That was nuts.

There is another Ranger video on youtube where they put a 5.0 and a manual in a pre-facelift 5G Ranger.



After trading the Ranger for something with a v8, even tons bigger, the v8 just sounds so much nicer to drive.
