How much does it cost?
Roughly 450-650 depending on tune options and tuning device you select. And probably any engine and transmission warranty you had.

(I say probably because in the event of a failure, it's really easy to blame an unapproved tune that adds more power for a driveline failure)

Bought my BDX from Unleashed Tuning for $399 with 2 custom tunes. He offers lifetime datalogging and support for the tunes purchased. Grade A service. Have tunes from him on my Fusion Sport for 2 years.

Torrie is a pretty cool guy, he does nice work on many other cars as well, would recommend him for sure.

Yeah he tuned my SHO. Had over 40 datalog/tune files sent back and forth fine tuning my meth injection setup. Always responded quickly and even at crazy hours of the night.

2016 Focus ST maybe Ranger in a couple days.
To be honest, anyone who has had a Cobb AccessPort knows the Octane Adjustment Ratio (OAR) should read -1.00. on a scale of -1.00 to 1.00 the closer to -1.00 the better. The Ranger is currently -.3 so there is room for improvement for sure with the engine management software to adjust power to higher octane fuel. I may try a tank of 93 to watch the OAR move but I won't be dyno-ing the truck to prove results.

I'm wondering if in the case of the stock motor - If I go from 87 to 91 there is a reported increase in performance. Is it progressive? If I go from 91 to 93 will there be more? If I add octane booster and raise 93 to 96 will there be even more power?

Is it the case that the ECM keeps raising boost and/or timing advance until it detects detonation an then backs off?

I started to pour a can of this into my tank every fill up, and boom, I doubled all my numbers and am leaving Teslas in the dust with shame and embarassment with their paltry ludicrous mode.
