has anyone ever used the 245/75/17 size yet? i like that they are same overall size as a 265/70/17, but skinnier.

falken has a wildpeak in that size that is P rated too! light!

There were a couple of people who posted images of 245/75R17's installed, but I believe that was about it. There were not any comments about ride or performance that I remember.

I've not tried, but if your goals are larger/skinnier/light(ish), 255/75-17 is worth a look as well. It's my understanding this will fit a stock truck, and both Cooper AT3 4s and Goodyear Duratracs are available - and even lighter than the Wildpeaks in 245.

I alway's like comparing the perspective of the tires.

I see some things to think about tires are there weight and are they three ply or two ply for side wall strength if you are off roading.

Using the same diameter but taking 20 mm of the width will have little notable difference on performance given everything else equal.

Changing to a Wildpeak vs whatever tire you have now, will be more noticeable than 9% tread width change.
