  1. Dealer diagnostic fee while under warranty? (Sync issues)

Upgraded Sync this afternoon. I was on version 3.3.19052, which looks like it may have been the original version on the truck from 2019....so hopefully this latest version will be more stable. Hopefully any future extended warranty issues will be less intermittent
  2. Dealer diagnostic fee while under warranty? (Sync issues)

^ I've had that experience several times. Maybe it's just an unstable software version that I'm on. My goal was to get any underlying issues resolved while I'm under warranty, but I'll get on the latest version and see if that does the trick..
  3. Dealer diagnostic fee while under warranty? (Sync issues)

I don't expect them to rely on it for diagnostics, my issue was more related to the fact that it was suggested that if they don't find anything, there's a fee. Well, I have evidence that the issue exists, regardless of whether they're able to duplicate it. Feels like an easy out for them to...
  4. Dealer diagnostic fee while under warranty? (Sync issues)

My 2019 XLT has been having intermittent issues with Sync - sometimes it doesn't turn on, sometimes certain controls don't work. I've seen a few fixes on the site that I'll try, so my question is more about my dealer experience. I have a Ford ESP, and I informed the dealer at last oil change...
  5. How much squat at max payload?

Not a perfect match for your situation, but as a data point: 2019 scab xlt fx4, rears replaced with Eibachs, 1,549 lbs max per door sticker Empty bed other than tonneau and bed mat (~100 lbs): 38” to top off wheel well With just over 1,000 lbs total in bed: 36.25” At max: 35.5”
  6. 35's?

He’s just setting you up so he can recommend an OME lift kit in his next post
  7. Eibach 2.0 coilover adjustment questions

I haven't gotten around to installing my Eibach coilovers yet, but my truck with stock front suspension is at (or just under) 0.5" lower on driver side vs passenger.
  8. FX4 Payload

It seems obvious when you think about it, but what's often not taken into account when it comes to payload is that the truck doesn't know the difference between pounds of sand you've dumped in the bed vs pounds from mods you've added/yourself/your spouse/your kids/your dog/your full Big Gulp...
  9. Touch link lights and wolf haus 12v outlet

I believe they use the same, but would be interested if anyone knows for certain. I bought the Wolf Haus v5 just to be safe so I could tie bed lights in, regardless of whether I go with Ford or someone else.
  10. New gas mileage question (not the same as others)

Did 204 miles round trip this weekend from PA to the Jersey shore, averaged 29.3 mpg (per computer). You've got me by a couple MPGs :). Suspect FL is a bit flatter, or at least that's the excuse I'm going with.
  11. Shocks vs coilovers for stock height (or minimal lift)

@FoD very much agree I won't be able to tell the difference between the minor height adjustments - the 0.75" notches on the shocks is plenty fine for me. I feel confident installing coilovers based upon the videos I've watched, so the question is swapping springs. If I end up taking it to the...
  12. Shocks vs coilovers for stock height (or minimal lift)

Fair enough, I should probably take the same approach and have someone else install :) Good to hear you've been happy with them. Thanks, I suspect so as well, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out. Video I found from Eibach discussing the differences: They mostly focus on the...
  13. 245/75/17

I've not tried, but if your goals are larger/skinnier/light(ish), 255/75-17 is worth a look as well. It's my understanding this will fit a stock truck, and both Cooper AT3 4s and Goodyear Duratracs are available - and even lighter than the Wildpeaks in 245.
  14. Shocks vs coilovers for stock height (or minimal lift)

Thanks, yes, those were the front shocks I was considering (along with OEM springs). Just wondering what I might be missing out on vs going with the coilovers at the same height. Did you install yourself? If so, any issues swapping parts over from the stock shocks?
  15. Shocks vs coilovers for stock height (or minimal lift)

Just swapped the rear shocks on my FX4 to Eibachs. I'm considering upgrading the fronts as well, but NOT interesting in leveling - would prefer to stay at stock or maybe up 0.75". The vast majority of my driving is on road. Is there much of a benefit to going with coilovers in this scenario...
  16. Why Are Some Tacoma Owners Like This?

Just the nature of people wanting to believe the decision they made was the “right” decision. Every group has these folks. The Jeep crew has the whole “it’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand!” Toyota fanboys talk about a reliability advantage that may or may not still exist. There are a...
  17. Aftermarket Wheel Picture Thread

A thread following the guidelines OP politely requested would have been a valuable resource.
  18. Tremor stock wheel size?

16” should be fine to clear brakes, that’s a stock rim size (I’m not aware of any difference between Tremor and non-tremor brakes)
  19. Tremor stock wheel size?

15” wheels will not clear the brakes
  20. Service at 2,500 miles?

I was in a similar situation a few months back. Took mine in for an oil change when the Ford app told me it was time, which was about the one year mark. Paid with Ford Pass points so nothing out of pocket, and it let me reset the clock so the rest of my points don't expire.
