Thats what crumbles my cookies, too. Ford is pushing for more customer ordered vehicles and fewer dealer stock, and they had a big online unveiling of the 2023 Ranger, but their website still has the '21, which you can't order anymore.
The same thing happened with the Flex; still had the Build and Price up on the web months after it was discontinued and there was none in stock anywhere nationally.
When i ordered my '21 in Nov '20, and they were no longer making '20 models, the build site still had '20. If i remember right, it was around when I received the vehicle months later in March, that the site had finally changed to '21.

Ok I got a email (no VIN#); and I see that my wheel choice has been substituted from chrome 17'' pvd to Mag painted and chrome appearance package replaced by Sport appearance. :headbang:
Hmm not sure if I'm liking that. I guess I'll be stopping by the dealership tomm to see if anything else has been substituted.

It may not be exactly what you wanted, but it sounds like a pretty awesome build to me!

Yes it's a perfect set up for me I'm just picky about the colors, I did stop at the dealer this morning to see about making changes, and caught a break the sales manager who inputs the orders into the computer system was able to access my order page and correct the wheels to 17''chrome and put the chrome package back in, he said if there was constraints on any of the option packages I chose the system would kick it back, it did not while I was there, I also did not lose my spot and retained the same order #, and I received a new order print out
Also Thursday is when Ford accepts the orders so I did it just in time and since no vin # assigned as of today changes are accepted, once vin# comes thru no changes so he sees no issue.

On another note for those that are ordering new or getting switched to a '22 the base MSRP went up also destination/delivery, in my case from $29,120 to $29,335 and delivery from $1195 to $1295 :frown:
Good luck to everybody hopefully '22 will be a better year in all cases.

They cancelled me too.
I ordered a XLT in early July, was given a delivery date first week this Dec.
The Sales Rep just informed me mine will also be a ’22 year and unknown delivery date at this point.
The Sales ’Rep said all my options were still available and put on the new order. Lets hope everything turns out right.

Its sort of worrying,
I cant find out exact ’specs of the ’22.
My buddy in Sweden tells me their Euro Spec ’22 Ranger body is slightly changed from the ’21.
To get a headstart on lead times, I already ordered a topper expecting to fit a ’21.
Here is a link for the '22 order guide not sure if it contains export specs or not;
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/attachments/2022-ranger-order-guide-pdf.178840/

Is there a pre owned Ranger market available where you are maybe that's an option for you?
'22's start production Dec 15, for me if i don't have a vin# and production date by the end of December I'm thinking of purchasing a pre owned i don't have the option of waiting another 4+months like i did for the '21, best of luck to you.

Sorry for the delay and reschedule of a '22. I personally prefer the Sport and Magnetic look. See if you can check out one locally to compare.
I got the same wheels and trim plus the 302a. Great pick.

Mine was canceled as well, the confirmed order date was July 20. Looks like the 18" wheels that I wanted are not available for the 2022 model year.

So, do you still get the $1000. dollar discount for doing a custom order on the 2022 model? This was a 2021 incentive only I believe.

It sounds like your dealers knows how it's done Rob. Good luck, I hope your order gets pulled soon. I'm hearing from my dealer that the wait time could be up to 4 months. So, gets yo'sef ready. It will be worth the wait I assure you.

Here's a little ditty to help you get through.

I doubt if any dealers are doing any dealer trades since there is little in stock now a days. I did find a Cactus Gray XTL Scab at a local dealer but they wanted $5000. over MSRP, I told them no, then they lowered to $3000 over MSRP. I'm going for the 2022 now!

So why is there no mention of the 2022 Ranger on the Ford website?
Same thing with the Bronco and Jeep. Both are still showing 2021 on the B&P and production is starting soon. I know the dealers have all the codes but the B&P should've been updated by now.

The sales manager who was checking into my order called me back today and confirmed to me that the '21 order has been cancelled and pushed to a '22,
he said I will be getting an email from Ford confirming such and a new Vin #, he told me 1st or 2nd week of Jan build time frame (I'm skeptical) but will see.

UPDATE to my order 12/2 ;
I did stop at the dealer this morning to see about making changes, and caught a break the sales manager who inputs the orders into the computer system was able to access my order page and correct the wheels to 17''chrome and put the chrome package back in, he said if there was constraints on any of the option packages I chose the system would kick it back, it did not while I was there, I also did not lose my spot and retained the same order #, and I received a new order print out

My 2021 order was canceled in October and we switched it to a 2022, ZERO price change . Still haven’t received Vin #.
Just happy no price change .

Hmm i had forgot about that incentive it was so long ago it seems lol. I will have to inquire about it when and (if) the time arrives

Yea i know that one ha ha how true about everything in life and this saying I've heard from my parents in my younger days "Good things come to those who wait"

Any chance the dealer can find a new one on another dealers lot? this one is in SC...minus the 302A.

This one is in NJ...but a lariat w/ chrome and tech package.
Hey appreciate the leads very much and yes i saw that one at Larson Ford here in NJ, i think when i looked at their site it was in transit, i overlooked it though because it is $4 grand over the one i ordered and it has leather not to much of a fan of that but may have to change the budget to what's available as the reality of this mess sets in, thanks.

I've heard that from my salesman tough to do vehicle swaps in this current environment.

Yes the B&P is lagging LOL and the tracker is even worse, it still shows my '21 build when i input the order # and vin #,incredable.

Just happy no price change .
Will have to inquire about if I'm 'price protected'.
Do you have a 'Preview order' printout with the pricing? I do and it shows the increase on base MSRP& shipping:frown:

But this was buried in the article. 2K off and that Lariat is a little more affordable.

You guys don't forget to look at your Fordpass app in the messages section. I got a digital coupon for $1250 off my purchase, and it was good til Jan 3, I think. Dealer gave me no grief about honoring it.
