I had the tow truck guy pump the brakes and it wasn't coming from the fitting anyway, seemed to be the hose itself near where it makes the 90 bend. Couldn't feel a hole or cut but it was also covered in fluid. I wonder if Ford will bring it back on that nice flat bed. :sunglasses: It was pretty sweet, neon green and chrome.
WOW! This sounds like what happened to me.
What's your build date?
Mine : Date 11/20

So the dealer just called and said it was a hairline crack in the metal line before the fitting and rubber hose. Then they asked if it was OK for their technician to drive it home and back to work in the morning (30-40 miles round trip) to road test it. Uhh no? They didn't like my counter offer to have them drive it back to me. "Who's going to drive him back?" Ridiculous.

Is cross threading possibly a Ford specialty ? Brings back memories (unpleasant) of the other Ford product I owned - 1991 Taurus SHO where the shift position rod was cross threaded (fell off shortly after 12 month warranty expired) AC compressor with low pressure line cross threaded (slow leak, waged a furious, contentious battle with FoMoCO to fix it) and 2 timing cover bolts.
And I'll never forgot the sticker pasted on a back window "built with pride in Atlanta, GA" .
