From what I understand, the base system in the Lariat supercab is supposed to be the Sony system. I don't know where I read that, but I read it somewhere. Ford has altered the specs a number of times over the past year, though, so I wouldn't say that is 100%.

Thanks, I'd appreciate the picture. I just had to ask the question.
I know a chev dealer. They had a chev HD pickup on order for a customer and it sat at the factory for 3 weeks waiting for shipping. The dealer asked if they could come the 400 miles and pick it up at the factory. Chev said ok and they would only knock $50 off the delivery fee. The dealer said no thanks.

I believe you are correct. It looks like the Sony is the base system in both Lariats, but if you get the 501A package, you get the B&O system but only in the SuperCrew. From the Ranger Packaging Guide:
Lariat Equipment Group 501A -
B&O PLAY™ Premium Audio System by HARMAN with 7 speakers,
including subwoofer (SuperCrew® only)

So the Sony 6 speaker system will also be in the XLT 301A and 302A. Is this set up in any vehicles currently? Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Agreed and they usually perform better unstacked, but they were probably lacking the space in the rear row.

Not in my book. They aren't stacked....they are coaxial. It is one speaker with 2 drivers. if you went to replace it you'd need to buy 1 Speaker (all the coaxial speaker is doing is extending the frequency response vs a single driver speaker).

In fact, the B&O system consists of 9 channels.
9 channels but 10 speakers? Nope. 7 channels drive 7 speakers (including the coaxial speakers) and the Sub has a dual voice coil and gets 2 amp channels. IOW, 9 amplifier channels drive 5 speakers, + 2 coaxial speakers, plus 2 channels to the Dual Voice Coil Sub.

Just got a chance to go past there for pic. Have to say, up close the truck looks very good from all angles, the Ramp itself, not so much, not very impressive up close. Altough it did have a lot of lights over and around it, might look good at night. I know there are a lot of good pictures of the saber ones already posted but this one is in front of the RANGER birthing suite. I posted a few others in the other thread.

Anyone have a pic or seen the subwoofer yet? Also, the storage compartment under the back seats should have been left out (open like the F150) they are very small. Does the B&O system remove the storage and replace w/sub ? I love my F150 ( had a 2003 Ranger FX4-Level 2 ), ready to get another Ranger! Need to see one in person and drive it of course.
