Bear in mind those 100k homes were bought on $4.50/hr at 18-20% interest rates.

edit:
Politicians will sell anything at any time. Get used to it.
Politicians suck, totally… and yes, you are right about the home and rate situation, that doesn’t really address the fact that it is the older generation that allowed jobs to leave this country and we have been left with service jobs. Not that most you guys had any say in it, but culture has changed and to blame younger people for wanting more for themselves, seems rather selfish. Just my observation, of course all generations seem to think future generations are the problem, when they are the ones that raised the future generations! Lol

Their grandchildren need to quit complaining about how cold their half caf decaf latte is from Starbucks and get to work on time and maybe the minimum wage issue wouldn't matter so much to them.
Getting to work on time should be a universal truth.. I was asking my wife the other day about the negotiation she was having with her boss and if they settled her new comp plan and she said, “he just walked in the door, I haven’t seen him all week.” Haha, it was 2pm on a Thursday! Haha… it is nice to have a job that affords the ability to come and go as you please, and it no doubt took a lot of hard work to get to that place. We’re not in the $15 minimum wage demographic, but I feel for some of them. Not the high school kids, but the single mothers and poorer senior citizens who are forced to continue to work.

I live in the real world, bud. Go to any reasonably populated medium size town/city, and you won't find any employer that offers less than $12/hr. for any job.

Sure... go out into booniesland, Oklahoma where no one has a job anyway and you can get all those cherry-picked job postings you just shared. Minimum wage isn't a concern for those areas at all. The people complaining about minimum wage are never from those places. So, they don't matter.

Be smarter.
Fair enough, good day sir.

Btw, Lawton, OK is a reasonable sized southern town adjacent to one of the largest field artillery bases in the country. But they don't matter because it's not the "real world". The hillbillies around here are quite content making poverty wages.

Have to love the logic....
-show me a job paying under $10/hr

.....shows several local jobs paying under $10/hr

- you "cherry picked" those postings. "Be smarter"

Gonna have a go at this "irony" thing, I think mine still works, might have to dust off the board though...where's that damn Niagara!

There's always someone that will not know who you are or what you have done. This sometimes makes them think they are superior to you for some reason. In the end I always abide by my personal rule: “Manners Makyth Man”. My own actions, not the opinions of others, determine my destiny.

Senior citizens bitching about $15 minimum wage while they chill in their homes they bought for 100k that are now worth 600k, living off a pension and social security, planning RV trips and playing with all their toys…. Kinda annoys me.

Had they not let politicians sell the future of this country, maybe their grandchildren wouldn’t be looking for higher wages. ??‍♂
Ahemmm. Um son, when I bought my first home for 100K the interest rates were 18%. Min 20% down and you had a complete credit check done on you. Car loans were 8% and miss 3 payments tow truck would show up! Min wage was $3.35.

Does the job you used to do exist in your area anymore? Did it give you a pension? How much was rent, had you chosen not to buy?
Btw, I’m not a democrat, a Bern bro or AOColite… I’m just a guy who is fortunate, but I could see how younger people would want a higher wage. Some certainly don’t deserve it, but things have also changed a lot since the times Many in your generation refer back to.

so folks can go back and forth all they want but higher pay only means higher prices and dollars being worth less in our current situation. inflation. until this nation fixes government problems like inflation, no amount of wage hike will add up to dick. we need stronger dollars that buy more. when a dollar has "power" a pay raise would be great. I got a decent raise at the end of 2019 and after the inflation and govt bs got to it things worked out nicely to being nothing more than a mislabeled income reduction.

Ah, I see a privileged life as I suspected. You were proven wrong, and now you change your narrative.

That's kind of the point. Those who DO deserve it will rise above and very quickly start earning much more. Those who don't deserve it will just continue to get it.

Eighty percent of every U.S. dollars ever printed were printed in the last two years.
Increase the quantity of anything in a market and the value decreases.
But politicians were buying love.
