I just bought 3 sets of bulbs to upgrade my tail lights... I really wanted to turn them up to 11. I was all set to install them last night when I found a surprise. My tail lights are full LED and cannot be altered. I'm stuck with bulbs that I'm not sure I can return. I swear I didn't know they were full LED. I honestly thought they were upgradeable.

Usually they will, but we bought some concrete epoxy recently and only used 1 of the 2 tubes... they woudn't take the 2nd unused tube back. But, on inspection, it said is the listing 'not returnable'. So, just be sure to read the fine print.

Lariat?

I learned the hard way a couple years ago that the front headlights were the same on Lariats (as a unit). I bought my truck used and thought that the differing brightness between my two lights meant that one bulb had been replaced in the past. I bought a couple replacements compatible with the Ranger and discovered I couldn’t install them because like you describe, it’s a full unit. Turns out all I needed to do was adjust the level on one of them which had been skewed all the way upward, no doubt blinding folks in the drive thru for too long.

My Ranger started life as a XLT. I know the Headlights are Halogens. I naturally assumed the Tail Lights were Halogens as well.

...unless someone wants them (catalog price and I'll eat the shipping) as long as you DON'T HAVE the taillights with the Blind Spot Monitoring System... which my truck HAS so I'm disqualified.

Don’t beat yourself up too much. I and @got3fords called them out for this very issue. They either don’t know enough about the different Ranger trim levels or are just being lazy.

I commented on two of their threads because they repeated the same misinformation. They need to edit their posts and their website to mention that those bulbs are for XL models only.

Instead they rely upon a bulb number cross reference and a really poor vehicle selection input form on their site. I would PM them directly and tell them you’d like a full refund and a pre-paid return shipping label. It was their engagement with forum members that created your mess. Another forum member got stung by this oversight as well.

I think they mean well but you are correct. A simple, *XL Models Only,,, would suffice. I emailed them explaining the difference.

Auxito should take them back considering that you weren't able to even attempt to install them...you'd think they'd make the fitment clear...BLISS taillamps are already full LED...

Now, if only Auxito made LED bulbs for the Lariat...

I would like to see them come up with full LED tail light assemblies for sale. Even if they just refurbished OEM taillight assemblies. But brighter and more "interesting". Like, incorporating their Flashing Red LED brake lights,,, that flash twice before going steady solid red. Which is what I ordered... and can't use. I would like to see brighter reverse lights (somewhere in the "insane" range). And since headlights can do all sorts of cool shit with their LEDs,,, why can't the taillights do some cool start up magic or something cool/different with the turn signals ??? I love shit that looks OEM but is customized to be a little different/cooler/better/faster...
