So I just got finished with this issue. Same exact symptoms, it will take a while, for me it was nearly 2 months. So what they will do is start by reprograming and resetting the transmissions algorithm and doing the software update, when that doesn't work they will then overhaul the valve body...
For me I had rough up and downshifts, some downshifts it felt like I had been rear ended, and eventually it started getting worse and worse. Now post replacement of the valve body, fluid, several clutch packs and the cdf drum, along with the new software update for the transmission every shift...
Totally fair, but ultimately it is a 2 way street, bro needs to get over himself. The arguments start because of him not those attempting to address the issue and present alternatives.
Another who doesn't understand what an automatic is vs you using your hand to "lock and unlock" gears is manual shifting. Say that again but slowly.... You are not shifting, all that aside I did address the topic and rightly pointed out that it is likely a waste of time effort and money for you...
I am on 35's and I have zero issues or difficulty, the tires are fairly light tho, but still lt 315 70r17's and on and offroad she runs brilliantly, no difficulty with obstacles, mud, sand, etc. It is likely that guy has quite heavy tires compared to mine but fwiw I've had a great experience...
Ooh I can take this one since youre being a complete donut, manual shifting is what you do in S where you press the + to shift up a gear and the - to go down a gear, locking out gears is just that, locking them out. The transmission still shifts automatically, you cannot manually select the gear...
You should get your valve body checked out, especially if you are still under warranty. The clunky shifting in 321 is a big time symptom of it going bad.
If you can i would go and get the new update to the transmission software and have the learning reset, I got it done when I was having the lovely transmission valve body issue and the shifting is definitely different and much more logical. With how computerized everything is in these vehicles it...
I would double check the wiring and reverse it just in case. I've personally never considered doing speaker "upgrades" because I am quite happy with the b&o system, as are all the passengers I have had but I did do it on my jeep and based on my experience with that and what you describe it...
Yeah I had mine right when my original powertrain warranty ended and it kicked over to my premiumcare and I have been thanking me from 2 years ago profusely that I decided eh what the hell just to be safe. It is absolutely worth it.
For sure! I’ll be testing this rig out a bunch this fall. I can’t drive my manual transmission bronco at the moment because I’ve recovering from shoulder surgery. So, good timing on our Transit kicking the bucket. Haha.
I used Forscan. It’s in BCM. I meant to jot down what it was stock - but, I...
Hit it exactly on the head, even with a twin scroll turbo there is still an appreciable amount of lag. Also even worse the systems are programmed to by a tad sluggish (which there are tuning tools to fix)
2500mm pretty much dialed in the speedometer (always 4-5% less than actual which was 2601mm). I need some highway GPS tests. But, it’s close enough for now.
Looks brilliant, now we gotta get you on the trails to test out the travel and flex! My big question is how did you do the speedo...
Yeah I could somewhat excuse the lack of communication but being straight up lied to is ridiculous, especially when managers are doing it too. I wasn't on the service side but I was friends with the advisors and yeah they deal with a lot of bs from both ends.
For sure, Even though twin scroll turbos largely eliminate boost/turbo lag they still do need to rev up a bit. I think the turbo really kicks in around 2 and change thousand RPM so you will definitely feel some lag if you send it. Also I think the tcs does some stuff to prevent wheelspin as...
