U.S. Army for 16 years, 1998-2014. Started as a turret mechanic on Paladins and switched to being a mechanic on CH-47 helicopters. Served basically all over the world during my time.
Both Century and Leer suck at promotional materials. If you look closely, the Leer catalog shows plenty of pictures of toppers with Century logos on them instead of Leer and vice versa. Contact your local dealer and they can go over the options with you. Obviously they make them or I wouldn't...
Not that it probably matters since you're using a tender, but voltage ratings aren't what matters when you're cranking an engine. The cold cranking amperage available is what matters. So just because you show 12.8 VDC doesn't mean the battery is in the right condition to actually start the truck.
Save the money and buy the Century. Made in the same factories as the Leers, by the same people, on the same assembly lines with the same materials. Yet, for some reason, they're a lot cheaper.
Hey Phil, I'm Jason. ?
Yeah I've bought my F-150s from Morgan Hill, but they basically had no interest in working with me on the Ranger buy and that was before I even went to the Costco method.
Since when? I can assure you I bought mine through Costco and was connected with Livermore Ford who completed the sale. Unless Livermore Ford screwed up and lost their deal with Costco, I can't imagine why it wouldn't still be them.
The discount was deeper for my Ranger when I bought it in March of 2019. I don't know if the percentage varies, though.
I don't recall ever seeing anything in the language that said you had to take from the dealer's stock. Hell, if that's the case, I shouldn't have been able to get my Ranger...
I would assume it's the same. Costco has the discount already locked in with Ford so the Costco-authorized dealers have to honor it. The process starts through Costco though instead of just asking if the dealer has a discount.
Buy it through Costco. I've done that for the last five trucks I've bought, including my current Ranger. They set me up through Livermore Ford and the dealer had to travel to Fresno to get exactly what I wanted...which they happily did since they're counting on the Costco relationship for...
I suspect that this is due to that tire's footprint changes your handling and potentially your steering dynamics due to it being essentially new tread being thrown in with more worn tires. For safety reasons, Ford is thus suggesting you don't exceed 50MPH and have it changed as soon as...
Never have understood the need for a damper for a tailgate. Seems like a truly unnecessary gimmick for me. I mean, unless you have a medical need that would warrant it...it's not even like the tailgate is heavy.
I've always placed my FasTrak toll tags to the upper left of the rearview mirror in my trucks and the Ranger is no exception. Never had any issues with the frit, even when removing them.
Yep. Maybe people don't know this, but manufacturers really do spend a lot of time with focus groups and study what their core market truly wants and would be willing to pay for. It's therefore no surprise at all that they won't shoehorn a V8 into the Ranger, nor offer the 3.5TT and probably...
Yes. That and those jackasses that "roll coal".
Hell, it's dying in my industry, too. CNG, and even electric options, are supplanting the long-standing diesel platforms.
Tell your dealer to educate themselves on Magnuson-Moss. They're 100% incorrect. In short, they would have to prove that whatever modification you added caused the failure that they're claiming is now not covered under warranty.
