When I was there I lived in the condominiums right on the border between Waianae and Nanakuli. Not a good place for a blue haired blond haired sailor. I had a Filipino wife and either was good or bad depending who you are around. Sure was nice living 100 yds to the water’s edge.

Lol, I'm sure you meant blue eyes, blond haired sailor, I am almost certain the Navy would not allow 2 hair tones in the seventies, not to mention the stares you'd get back then in Honolulu.
The sixties and seventies was a good time to grow up in Honolulu, I remember them fondly, but with any densely populated area, crime and poverty are to be expected. The total population on Oahu is creeping up to almost 1.2 million, of which almost 5K are homeless.
Despite all its flaws, it's home to me and still Paradise.

Edit: like you quip about Filipino women, I know exactly what you mean...

I got Veteran plates years ago, my wife has a four digit plate in our state, which are unique in our state. I wanted a vanity plate with the same four digits but I need to pick two letters to go along with it and can’t decide.

I have one that came off of my 2002 Ranger FX4 level 2, it is BULLDG1. My Focus ST had BULLDG2. I will transfer over the BULLDG1 back to my new Ranger.

I was going to get a personalized plate because I had one on my Trac but you can’t get a personalized DP plate. So, I went with the DP plate for the convenience of not having to deal with the blue hang card plus I saved the extra cost of the personalized plate.

I seriously considered it when I got GLaDOS, but with the cost of the plates already pushing $600, I wasn't about to add another $50-100/yr for that as well.
