What did you do to your Ranger today?

Did you get this cover for drain convenience, or other reasons? My '21 has a drain, but the '22 does not. Hmmm.

The drain for the Ranger rear axle is not in the cover.

It's in the differential housing.

Yes it is on the '21 XLT. The '22 XL does not have a drain. I was disappointed that there s not a drain. Popping he cover was the drain method. It was pretty clean for 134K miles.

Rtball, I got this diff cover on a trade so no real reason for install other than the looks lol and bonus for the drain

I didn't realize they removed the drain on later models.

That must've saved them at least 40 cents per Ranger!

My '22 FX4 has electronic lockers. All the FX4 models do.
I'm not sure of the others.

My 22 has the electronic locking axle, no drain plug.

My '22 FX4 has no drain plug in the casting. Oops, forgot to add that above.

I made a mistake last year and sold my Decked. It is true that you never know what you have until it's gone. A local friend was selling his Decked, so I snagged it for a killing. One of the top panels will need to e replaced but I checked on pricing before buying and, even if I buy both top panels, I came out ahead.

I hear ya! Try being 74 with an 18 month old granddaughter that we're lucky enough to spend a lot of time with. Enjoy them while they're young they grow up way too fast!
