Anybody ever do the whole Ophir Pass road from Ophir to Silverton ? Helluva of a road , biggest issue is long stretches where there is no room to turn around, I did a good chunk of this road last fall starting on the Ophir side, Ranger is better suited for these types of roads although I don't off road much. What sparked my interest in moving to a full sized pickup or something better for towing than the Ranger is when my son got his 2023 Tundra a few weeks back I towed my 23' Nobo UVW 4200 lbs with it and it was so much better, ironically son has a 19' Rpod uvw 2700 lbs , which is nothing to tow. Potentially I could keep the Ranger and buy a full sized tow vehicle was looking at the Lexus 460 but ended up with a Subaru outback - wife's car. But don't put a lot of miles on the Ranger to begin so having 2 lightly used vehicles doesn't appeal much although where I live a good many neighbors have 3 or more vehicles with many Razor type vehicles.

Now you've done it !!!!! Ford is gonna see this and figure out it's not needed and their gonna delete it !!!!!!:crying:
Ford would sooner delete air conditioning than the revered damper.

"Dang it's hot in this truck.:

"Yeah, but at least your tailgate still opens open really cool!"

If they delete the AC then maybe they could devise a small triangle window at the front of the window opening that could swivel to direct air into the cabin......:like:
Unheard of but a novel idea.....cost less than AC.....

Only an old person would come up with that idea. 😜

Tempted to do the same , mostly though owing to wanting a better tow vehicle.
I'm pushing 70,000 miles with no problems, and love my 2019 Lariat SuperCab. But since half of my time is spent towing our travel trailer, I've decided that I'd like more weight margin up-front. I'll likely hang on for another 5 years until I get closer to 120,000 which is when most Fords I've owned start requiring expensive care. I had assumed that I'd be moving up to a F-150, but Ford killed the Lariat trim on the SuperCab, so I'll likely be looking somewhere else. Hopefully by then, Ford will have changed their minds, or Toyota and GM will have gotten their quality acts together.

Took a look at F-150 with "we pay what you pay" pricing and it wasn't enough to move the needle for me, I am happy with the Ranger except when I tow and it does ok.

Read a few ariticles about GMs 2027 Silverado with new V8 engines that are supposed to have fixed the lifter issues arising from cylinder deactivation, the 5.7 liter V8 gets improved mpg but numbers haven't been released as of yet.

I actually 'prefer GM pickup styling slightly over Ford's, not a major criteria for me though, a big reason for considering a NA V8 after owing 7 turbo 4s going back to the 1980s is all the extra stuff attached to the 2.3 turbo, all sorts of hoses, egr cooler, etc.

So probably will wait till Dec and shop year end deals from Ford GM and Toyota.

Also dealing with all those Ford f150 recalls could be an unnecessary pia , just saw another announced today for roll away risk , Farley talked big on fixing the quality issues but the 2026 recalls will likely surpass 2025, Farley is probably better suited for politics.

So far *knock on wood* all of the recalls on my 2025 have been software and have been done OTA. But I think they're still having problems out of their 'Max Tow' semi-floating axle, which mine doesn't have.

They pushed an update last night for the power windows.....ok then is about what I thought. Most annoying thing about it is it resets the gauges to factory and I have do go back through and set up all my screens again. Takes about 60 seconds for me to do it now. First time or two it really whipped my ass.

Glad you loved your time with the truck. I plan on keeping mine for a few more years if I can. Every time we tow, like this weekend, my wife reminds me how small it is.....I tell her it's because she keeps a 7-11 worth of snacks in the front area. We had an f150 loaner a few months when my engine got replaced and that is her benchmark now. Meanwhile I'm dreaming of no payments for a few years lol

Man, if we didn't tow, I would really like a 4dr bronco. Love my truck though
im with you on this bit here! idk how many times in the last month ive used my utility trailer to haul bikes, lawn work stuff, junk and other crap... looking back i do kinda wish i had looked longer for a larger motor then the 2.7eco but overall it does everything we need and then some.
