In my area I heard "bug shield" a lot. First pickup truck I ever fell in love with was just like the one in the picture, except 4x4 & with matching canopy(camper top). I believe it was the first day after arriving to US after my familiy immigrated here from Japan in '87, I had never seen anything like it over there. lol
