This was last night, but after spending 30 minutes looking for and finding 3 not checked/cracked 4x4s from Lowe’s, I loaded up the ranger with that and a bunch of 2x4s and headed home. Left my workbench at my old house as the mice in the detached garage liked it and I really didn’t feel like dragging it up here and then cleaning it so I’m gonna build a new one at the this place. Thinking 6ft x 3ft? I’ve got a total of 3 4x4s for the legs and then 8 2x4s for the remainder of the frame. Need to figure out what to use for a top as well. Last time I used particle board that I basically turned into plastic with daily coatings of poly for a few weeks, but I think I might get something a bit nicer this time and easier to replace.
Used solid core doors work pretty well.

GBS sucks Mel. Sorry you gotta deal with that.
Thanks. I came home February 6 last year. Mostly good other than the fatigue that is lingering. Not severe now more annoying.

Oh that’s a great idea. I think there is a couple doors the previous owner left I’ll have to see if they are solid.
My gun work bench has a door for the top. My dad built it forever ago and he gave it to me over 20 years ago. Solid as a rock!

Nice! If the doors I think I have are not solid, I’ll take a look at marketplace and then compare to plywood prices.

I can’t believe how much lumber is, $3.75 for kiln dried white wood 2x4s and $14.54 for Douglas fir green 4x4s. This is from Lowe’s, I shoulda just waited and went to a lumber yard where the price may be slightly higher but the wood is better quality, but around here they are only open till 5pm during the week so it’s hard to just go out on a whim to grab it. I went through around 25 4x4s at lowes and almost all of them had massive cracks to the point you could see through it or see the post flex when moved.

Could always look on FB Marketplace for the doors. You never know.

There's a smaller lumber yard close by that does a lot of commercial contractor orders, etc. I ordered treated 1x4s for my utility trailer deck. I got 5 16 footers for $67 and they cut them in half for me since I really needed 9 8 footers. I thought that was super reasonable. It took less than a week for them to get them in. Either nothing is reasonable or it's garbage today. Likely it's both!🙄

Just pulled braking system off that went with the NSA towing brake system. Replacing it with a RVI-3 brake today. Only onstall is a new breakaway switch. That goes in today hopefully.

It was Saturday night we went to the Eagles tribute band called Eagle Eye. Everyone’s been telling us about this one and how great they were last year so this year they brought them back for 2 shows. This is one of the best tribute bands I’ve ever seen and the Eagles were one band I missed seeing years ago (and I won’t say $650 to see them in LV) and they did not disappoint! The harmony was perfect and all the guys were awesome but the guy to the far right (I forgot his name) stood out the most. He did several Joe Walsh songs and just killed them!! Id you like the Eagles and ever get a chance to see them it’s well worth it

He killed Rock Mountain Way!

7 Bridges was their encore and sounded amazing

Drove it to work. Stopped by Casey's General store to get a Monster energy drink for the drive home. Went to the bank to get some money for grocery shopping, gas and the occasional grab and go run lol. Stopped by Brookshires to restock what I was out of, then after unloading the truck and putting the groceries up, I hauled the trash off.

Front row!

It's all G/A there so we got there early to make sure we got good seats and several others had the same idea. lol One of the staff told us there's only 450 seats and both shows were sold out. The guys in the band were really fun and joked a lot with the crowd and told the history of certain songs and how they were written.

I luckily got to see them playing in Hawaii at the Aloha Stadium back in 1995. Me and my ex wife just started dating back then, and she took me instead of her friend  .

Now that was true love....or lust. lol 😜

That must of been a great show. There's only a few bands I missed that I regret not seeing and Queen was another one. Freddy really put on a great show and Annie was lucky enough to see them back in Chicago.

It was an amazing show!! Only weird thing was watching them play on the big screen above the stage due to the slight delay in sound. After a few songs I just focused on listening.
