I will still take my Ranger over any other vehicle. All new vehicles have their own issues. Only problem is Ford is not taking responsibility for theirs, where other manufacturers seem to be doing better.

I've been a die hard Ford truck guy for 30+ years but the loyalty doesn't get you anywhere now and that's with all the manufacturers. With that said if I just needed a truck for some basic truck stuff (which I do now) and not working it on a job site or off roading with it I would seriously consider buying a Honda Ridgeline. The only ones they had the most complaints were with the past generations and the newer ones seem to be pretty good. We've had a few members here trade in their Rangers for them and had nothing but good things to say.

I think they did a great job on styling with this new generation vs. the previous one. They even faked the separation of the cab and the body with a crease in the panels - sneaky but it looks good. As needs change, so do vehicle choices and Sport Utility Pickups like the Maverick and the Ridgeline make a lot of sense for a lot of folks. Me, I’d probably want to modify it and I’m not sure the aftermarket support is there for the Ridgeline.

I mean, I searched Google Images for a “lifted Ridgeline” and this was all it showed…

I will still take my Ranger over any other vehicle. While we accuse Ford for not taking responsibility, and rightly so, it should be noted that Ford is no different than any other manufacturer. Just to pick on GM do some research on the key switch failures and more recently the 6.2 V8 failures.

I agree with you. I will take my Ranger over any other vehicle. The F150 being the exception to that. The last one I had, it was reliable and Dad is still driving it lol.

I always had good luck with every F150 I've owned and I worked them good. Between using them for work I use to tow a 2 place trailer up north to VT & CA every winter snowmobiling. A couple of times I had to put a friends sled in the bed (along with towing the trailer:oops:) because their ride backed out and he had no other way of getting up there. That was a good amount of weight with all our gear, tools and spare gas. Then of course being young and dumb we rarely were doing the speed limit. lol I love that 5.4 Triton engine and would buy one today if they still had it in a short bed regular cab like I had before.

I'd drive it. The color of it looks like what Dad and I call denim blue.
