And many companies suffered badly. Let the market decide what people want. Hopefully we are on track to reverse this. And today's announcement of the end of many mandates should help immensely. In short, nobody wanted EV but government subsidies propped up the market. Now that the subsidies are ending, people are moving back toward ICE. Basically, the government interfered and created a false market.
Agree 100%. I don’t have anything against anyone that wants to drive a battery car anymore than they should have anything against me for driving a gas car. In fact, it like battery car drivers cause they save more gas for me. I watched the announcement today and loved every minute of it.And many companies suffered badly. Most people sacrifice their health for convenience now and I put a lot of blame on technology for this. There's an app for everything now and DoorDash is just a click away. Eating healthy isn't really that much more expensive just time consuming because you actually have to do something.....Cook it!Average American is a drive through living individual. “What? Walk? Me? Oh the horror!”

Even doing little things like parking far out in the parking lot and walking helps. I've been doing this forever because 1: I don't want someone hitting my truck and 2: It gives you a little more expertise walking a few more steps. Take a look at the ones fighting for the close spots, they're the ones who could use a few more steps. We walk 4-5 miles just about every afternoon because keeping your body moving and your circulation is one key to good health.
There's a lot of truth in this!

Stupid fingers....Was supposed to say exercise."2: It gives you a little more expertise walking a few more steps."
I really hope that's a typo, because I don't understand it otherwise.
I am a card carrying member of the “Park as far away as you can” club! And as you said, two reasons: (1) Exercise and (2) Door ding prevention. Most people sacrifice their health for convenience now and I put a lot of blame on technology for this. ) and guessing where I’d walked to. I was a bit ridiculous.Don't let them install the smart meter. Worked for me! They can see the total usage, but they can't see when, how much, or catalog, monitor, and control devices that use the power.I agree with this. My wife's next car will probably be an EV. She's the perfect use case. Her commute twice a week is 30 miles, round trip. Other than that, she goes to the grocery store.
My biggest complaint is that, charging is free or cheap(er) now but... it won't be when they figure out how to charge more. California is now charging a mileage tax (even for ICE, which is tax on top of gas tax) to recoup the lost taxes in fuel sales. When the power company can distinguish between normal home electric and EV charging, at the meter level, they will charge you more for that charge. This has been like 'the first hit is free' from your local drug dealer.
our house is new enough I am fairly sure it already has a smart meter.Don't let them install the smart meter. Worked for me! IThey can see the total usage, but they can't see when and how much or catalog and monitor devices that use.
From what I understand here in Virginia, there is a no fuel use fee when you register a battery car.I agree with this. My wife's next car will probably be an EV. She's the perfect use case. Her commute twice a week is 30 miles, round trip. Other than that, she goes to the grocery store.
