Any thoughts that the CEOs of these big corporations may have some knowledge of what's coming?
That's a lot of $$$ to risk when the demand isn't there.
I've seen smaller companies that work with the government make some seemingly odd decisions just to have them turn out to be brilliant moves within a relatively short time.

A major break through in battery technology is what they are hoping/praying for , if that doesn't happen and happen within a few yrs I don't see Farley keeping his job. He states some obvious and well publicized drawbacks to the current gen of EVs , as if to explain away the mounting losses in Ford's EV biz. I don't think additional gov sponsored subsidies will happen either.
