Installed my HN Customs gauge pod mount this afternoon. Fit and finish of this handmade piece is incredible. 10/10 and worth the wait.

Here are some pics of the install. Had to drill a hole in the dash to route the wires to the OBD port. Took my time and it came out great.

I purchased the Banks iDash recently thanks to your post lol. But I have a few questions about your install. Did you end up removing side panel on dash? If so how? Or did you drill the hole and fish the wire through to OBD port? I have vent pod also. Just waiting on delivery. I just want to run wires and be ready. I’ve already removed all trim any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Edit: just read the other post I’m going to try to stick my hand up and feel the bit

It’s certainly awkward but that was the best way i could figure how to do it.

Yours popped out too? My vent was glued in, had to chop bit by bit out with an exacto knife. The aeropod is nice though.

That reminds me, Banks is supposed to release a transmission temp update for this gauge soon. "Spring 2024".

Fingers are crossed for the update but not holding my breath.

Was the transmission temp added?
Nope. I am extremely disappointed. This last time I called they basically said they have no intention on spending time on adding it.

That's rough. It seems to be a new business practice to sell things on future promises and then never deliver. Without trans temp, I can't find 8 things I would want to monitor. Disappointing.

What is more disappointing is the last update they made as a whole to the iDash was 12/16/22.

I was on their site and there are several model numbers, with different prices, that all seem the same... I couldn't figure out which was better since they all look the same and there is no mention of upgraded parts. Looks like Aerogauge might be the way to go.

Bumping this thread.

I got the Aeroforce pod a while back and just recently sprung for the i-Dash Pro. By itself the i-Dash doesn't fit snug, so I ordered the $10 mounting ring from Banks and paid $20 for shipping - ouch. Turns out the ring is too large for the Aeroforce. Now I've got to figure if I'm going to enlarge the opening in the Aeroforce or whittle down the ring or a little of both. Along with the OBD splitter this is turning into a $500 mod.

I can’t express enough the electrical tape. I have it on mine and you can’t tell it’s there once installed.

Argh. Hundreds of dollars in custom equipment and freakin' electrical tape to make it fit. I know what happens when it's been exposed to heat and sunshine long enough.
