Has anyone looked at adding one of these to their truck? https://bankspower.com/products/banks-idash-supergauge-datamonster
I would be interested for boost readings and transmission temp specifically.
Interesting. Yes pricy, I'm also not a fan of numeric gauges though. Much prefer dial type to be able to see appox. Reading with a quick glance at needle position. Too much time to actually read a bouncing number. Just another choice of many.

Also don't see transmission temp in their list for the Ranger.

I agree with you there! I do like the idea of it going into a 52mm gauge mount on the air vent though to make it seamless.

I agree it is a clean place to put a gauge, of which there are few in our trucks. But, I feel it is too far out of the drivers sight line to be conveinient. Especially to read numeric gauges.

I thought the OBD port would pick that up.
It does but it is not listed in the loops shown for the Ranger on the Banks unit. Unless they let you program user defined PIDs in. I monitor mine using Torque Pro.

Does anyone know the Trans Temp PID#? I found this on another thread but wanted to confirm for accuracy.

Welp, after my call I was told to reach out on their social media to ask for help. The guy with technical support said he was told they are not updating iDash parameters until quarter 1 of 2024, but he has seen the social media team get things done quicker.

So if anyone is interested please comment on their IG and FB pages and request Transmission Temps for the 5th gen Ranger to be added!

EDIT: Social Media team told me they have confirmed transmission temps are missing for the Ford Ranger and have added it to the que for the Spring 2024 update.

Update. After a few days of driving I wanted to see some of the data captured I have been looking at.

Added a new page layout to the idash.
1) Horsepower from the ECU
2) Torque calculated by the ECU
3) Fuel Rail Pressure
4) Accelerator Pedal Percentage (assume this translates to WOT).

The funny thing is my foot was to the floor for a good second so category #4 saying the throttle was only 77% open was enlightening.

I’m interested in this and the defroster vent pod from Aeroforce but I can’t justify the price right now.
