Argh. Hundreds of dollars in custom equipment and freakin' electrical tape to make it fit. I know what happens when it's been exposed to heat and sunshine long enough.

I have had mine for about a year now, I think, and it hasn't changed at all. Still a snug fit.

Here's the opening of the Aeroforce in millimeters:

The Banks i-Dash without the adapter ring:

And the adapter ring, which looks like what I'll have to enlarge the Aeroforce to
(I'm not thinking of using a millimeter + of electrical tape, don't want adheisive melting in the summer heat and weeping out)

I just have to figure out a precise way to route it out 1.7 mm in diameter...

I used a small piece of weather stripping on top never had an issue with weeping in summer I live in soCal temps in 100’s.

Weather stripping is a 'better' solution than electrical tape and while it may seem appropriate for a truck I'd still want something as well designed as the gauge pod itself or in line with the cost and utility of the guage in this case. I'm not a perfectionist but I appreciate a well executed install.

The Aeroforce gauge pod is a top quality accessory- the size an orientation is great.

And as I reported before, fitting the Banks i-Dash Pro needed some work. I wound up hand lapping the too big $10 Banks adapter with sandpaper with a little work on the Aeroforce with a file to make it fit.

Got it all together and now I'm starting to play with settings.

All I had to do to run the cable to the gauge was pull the trim off the windsheild pillar and I used a pry tool to hold the dash while I slipped it through.

Everything snapped back together.

I'm trying the soft putty to set the guage securely and so far not that impressed. Must be a better solution.

Been driving with just the boost guage and liking the data (if I can trust it) and using it to adjust my driving.

Now I'm playing with gauge settings for HP and torque output...

But c'mon 400 HP at 0 boost? πŸ˜†

Weird because that is a reading for the percentage of available power based off of that moments air density. 410% ??

If it's an expression of % and no calculated value it's confusing.

I'm running a tune, probably snapped this pic at modest throttle.

I changed the gauge to show HO/TQ based off the ECU and the readings have been interesting. I guess I could pull the microSD and graph out what power is being reported but I was amused seeing 350+ hp flash up at one point under heavy throttle.
