Being a Ham, I have been into weather for 30 years too, I loved how active it is in the south, up here in the North it has its moments LOL, worked FEMA, Sheriff in GA, NOAA HQ radio desk in Peachtree city during OPEL, been out as a storm chaser

I use to follow Max too (he's really great) but it was to much between the two with all the notifications. lol Yeah your weather up there is pretty much consistent, cold! The jet streaming high pressure rarely makes a difference that far north but when it does it's usually a pretty drastic one. The mid central states and even the upper southern ones have been getting hit bad over the last couple years. That was another reason we decided to leave AR as the weather really changed there for just a couple years prior to us moving. But as they say if you don't like the weather wait a few minutes and it'll change.

I've had my share of ice storms back in MA. They're so much worse than an 18" blizzard which I'll take any day over ice. The black ice is the worst and I've been ass over tea kettle walking down my driveway getting the mail from it.

It's moving more northward now so Tracy @Tracy Bowman should hopefully escape most of this mess. Oklahoma and most of Arkansas looks like it's right in the main path now. Looks like Morgan @veedubtuner might not be playing any Xbox for a while. lol

We’re keeping a close watch out, but I think our area is just mainly rain.
But… we did have our version of a blizzard this past Sunday. We were all so excited! We had a good dusting of snow. Not as much as last year, but it was great nevertheless.
That being said, praying for anyone who may be affected in the coming days by the ice storm.

I cancelled plans to go to a Triumph Unleashed traveling motorcycle show coming to my region tonight. Temps dropping rapidly today to -17ºF/-22ºC actual temp, and windchills potentially as low as -45/-43C through Midnight Friday. The bike show is a 182mi/293km round trip from home, and I don't want to risk being stranded, and potentially being an unnecessary burden on first responders.
I have a svc appt for the Mazda CX-90 next Tuesday am- 2 miles down from 3 other MC showrooms.

I have had a 6600watt Gen on marketplace now for 2 years for $250, no one has even emailed me about it, maybe I should run a $500 special for this weekend ...

Well a few days ago they were calling for 2+ feet of snow, now on weather.us they are predicting 1.5 inches of precipitation. If that's all we get, I hope that's not all ice.
