I sure hope we don't see this happen anywhere
The jet streaming high pressure rarely makes a difference that far north but when it does it's usually a pretty drastic one. The mid central states and even the upper southern ones have been getting hit bad over the last couple years. That was another reason we decided to leave AR as the weather really changed there for just a couple years prior to us moving. But as they say if you don't like the weather wait a few minutes and it'll change.
I use to follow Max too (he's really great) but it was to much between the two with all the notifications. lol Yeah your weather up there is pretty much consistent, cold!I also follow Max Velocity
Being a Ham, I have been into weather for 30 years too, I loved how active it is in the south, up here in the North it has its moments LOL, worked FEMA, Sheriff in GA, NOAA HQ radio desk in Peachtree city during OPEL, been out as a storm chaser
