Well, I picked up my truck from the body shop yesterday. They repainted the passenger side, replaced the wheel-well liners, repainted the rock guards, repainted the tail-pipe (ish), replaced rr tail light, replaced door handles (passenger side), replaced graphics, etc etc etc…. what they didn’t do was remove paint splatter on tail gate, rear wheel and bumper WTF 🤬. In the beginning I had taken it to a very reputable shop that I am familiar with but Progressive said I needed to take it to shop with a detailer so the could scrub the paint off lol 😂, yeah right we know how that turned out.

Anyway, spent the day trying to get the paint off of the areas that the shop forgot to work on (their words). Removed a good bit with Goof Off Pro…. Detailed the entire truck, applied back to black on all the plastic parts, removed paint spray from the wheel. Also had to detail the inside because they wrecked it.

Accountability is a bitch these days - just like the a-hole that dropped all of the paint on the road and kept going, the shop did what they think they had to and called it a day.

in the future I will certainly do my best to avoid road paint 😂
Sadly (for most places) there is no accountability these days only good enough. At least your Ranger is back home and you have to look at the bright side, it could've been worse. They could've painted it the wrong color!

I think the guy who dropped the paint on the road worked at that body shop and was picking up a can of white.

The only ’two-Tone” I would prefer 😂 I am glad to have Ranger X back home though - thanks Dave.

That is a classic. Not my picture (photoshop) but if I ever needed a paint job this would be tempting. Lightning Blue and White Platinum Tricoat.

whats frustrating is the fact that someone can spill a ton of paint on the roadway and not be responsible for it………
As a government employee, I can tell you that there is literally no accountability… A guy in our department made a mistake years ago that directly resulted in someone’s death. There were absolutely zero repercussions. Not even administrative leave or job reassignment.

I have several examples of employee negligence causing damage to people or property that were swept under the rug and ignored. When it comes to accountability, it doesn’t exist with government jobs.
