Happy New Year's Phil, Margie and Tito! We just got back from the Casino (got a pizza there) and it's just a light misty rain in spots but might get worse later. The way people drive here I wouldn't want to be coming back from Tucson if it's bad out. We stopped at Safeway and there was a bad accident right at the intersection. A Bronco Sport taking a left from the Frontage Rd hit an SUV going straight through.

Man I bet Doc @Doc would love to be there for that taco drop. lol Maybe next year Doc we can all go!

Boy I really miss my hot tub I had back east. I'd be out there just like you when it was cold and snowing with a drink laying in the lounger seat. Fell asleep in it a few times too and you wake up quick with a mouth full of water!

We had all that going on when we lived up in Goodyear. It would start a couple days before NYE and go on all night long until 2-3 am and I'd have to wear earplugs which helped. It's nice and quiet here and you don't even hear one firecracker because it's mostly older(r) people so most are in bed after dinner. lol A couple more glasses of wine and I'll be there too.

I actually made it to midnight, even after some several glasses of 17% fortified grape juice.

Been a heck of a year for eye issues. Floaters led to vitrectomy, vitrectomy led to cataract and several months of terrible vision, which led to cataract surgery last week. Now the right eye is clear and sharp. Next year I can hopefully get the left taken care of. On the bright side, my cataract surgeon is hot!

I’m dreading the same exact path. On top of old worn out cataract laden eyes, I do a lot of woodwork (obviously) and the cutting and sanding part gets to my eyes. My orbital sanders have the built in vacuum and I hook a vacuum up to the radial arm saw and the Dewalt miter saw. I have a filter fan running for hand sanding. But some sawdust still escapes and goes directly to my eyes of course. I’ve started using this stuff and it seems to help some.
Side note: at $17.00 for 0.17 ounces, that works out to $12,800.00 a gallon.

2026 man time flies by I still can’t believe it’s been 25 years since the Y2K scare. Everyone was talking about how all the computers were going to (possibly) crash at midnight because of the two digit year format. Luckily it never did and life went on. Here are the stickers that Best Buy was sending out with every computer a few months prior to New Years.
