Sorry to hear Bruce! You could try using rubbing compound (Mothers has one) and/or claying your truck which "should" take it off. I use a clay mitt which works best as you're not as prone to rubbing through the finish with them. Use A LOT of lube when doing it, any speed detailer works great. I'll find the link to the mitt I use and post it in a few minutes.
You da Man….. Hopefully I can get with it this weekend. I’m gonna try anything I can to hopefully not have to repaint, with exception to the wheel wells. Aside from a rattle can will probably replace fender trim and wheel well liners.

That’s really unfortunate. I had overspray all over my ā€˜73 Roadrunner from asshats painting crude oil tanks. It came off all the glass, rubber, and chrome easily but the car had to be re-painted (not at my expense).

You might be very surprised at how well a clay bar will work. It’s surprisingly easy to do, even for first-timers. It’s definitely worth a shot, but don’t wait for that paint to fully cure.

Second approach might be to use a random orbital polisher but you need to be careful not to cut through the clearcoat. If you’re not comfortable with the process, go to a detail shop that specializes in paint correction - they have the skills and tech to do it right.

Good luck.

Has anyone had the misfortune of driving thru road paint?? I did the other day unknowingly…. When I got out of my truck I thought it was road grime but upon further investigation I had white paint all over the entire passenger side of the truck, wheel wells (front and rear), tailgate and rear bumper, front and rear tires and rims 🤬 I have looked on the inter web for ideas to get it off but no joy as of yet.

I really think I am going to have to repaint the entire side of the vehicle W/insurance claim. I still can’t believe this happened %$#%^

@DukeCanBuildit @airline tech @AzScorpion hell I even ask @Frenchy for help šŸ˜‚
You could try CPVC plastic pipe cleaner. I've used it to remove splattered dried paint from a painted metal surface, but not a car finish. Try a rag dampened with it. Test first in a non-visible area first.

Thanks Dave - just ordered it (303 Clay Mitt) should not have had to ask - rookie mistake šŸ˜‚
Anytime just pay attention next time. šŸ˜‚

Here's a video showing how to clay your vehicle. the claying part starts around the 4:25 mark. It's really easy to do and just keep spraying the speed detailer/lube on it and work on small sections at a time.

He’s right and if you’ve been using lots of 303 detailer after every wash, as you’ve been told, or better yet, Duke’s 404, this conversation wouldn’t be taking place. ;)

Also, no one knows more about lube than Dave. Just check his glove box. :oops:

Baaah! Snake oil garbage. :puke:

Gotta keep a lot of lube around because once the women see the damper they can't keep their hands off of me. :blush:

And of course there's this. :lipssealed:
